Why We Like The Cervelo Aspero GRX 610 Gravel Bike
Cervelo’s Aspero GRX 610 Gravel Bike is our top choice for a mixed-terrain racing machine with carbon construction, road-like geometry, and improved compliance. This versatile frame is built for speed with a geometry similar to that of a road bike but is adapted for use on gravel roads to keep us riding fast without sacrificing riding comfort. Featuring a longer top tube, shorter stem, and a steep head tube angle, along with a centered reach, our stability on technical terrain is improved with the reduction of toe overlap and optimal center of gravity.
With this Aspero, we ride on Shimano’s new 2 x 12-speed GRX drivetrain, a gravel-specific setup that provides efficient shifting, trustworthy braking, and a smooth ride over mixed terrain. The combination of 46/30t chainrings and an 11-36t cassette ensure we always have the proper gear to climb any hill, descend with max power, and sprint to any finish line while the hydraulic disc brakes stop on a dime with unmatched control thanks to the anti-slip coating on the GRX brake levers. With this gravel-optimized groupset and the fast-rolling combination of the WTB Vulpine tires and Alexrims Boondocks 7D wheelset, we will be a force to be reckoned with on the starting line.

Fun Gravel bike
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Good looking frame with the semi hidden cables, UDH, and standard seatpost; opening the door for frame upgrades in the future. The good - handling is predictable, stiff but compliant. The bike does well on pavement (it's not a road bike) but really shines on the dirt. A bike that you want to push hard when the road get rough. The not so good - I had to swap the bars from stock 42 to 40 Zipp SL70 XPLR ( I have bad shoulders), Also swapped stock Cervelo saddle for a Fizik Antares (saddle felt a little wide). It is on the heavy side/"sluggish" that is possibly due to the Alex wheels and WTB tire choice. Upgrading the wheel set and faster tires should give it some pep. I don't attribute the cons to the bike/design but to the component choices at the price build. Overall I do love the bike and look forward to long rides on those long quite gravel farm roads.
