Why We Like The Cervelo Soloist 105 Race Carbon Wheel Road Bike
Cervelo built the Soloist 105 Race Carbon Wheel Road Bike for riders who seek a fast, aerodynamic machine that performs at a high level, helping us take the leap from the back of the pack to the top of the podium. This race-specific carbon fiber bike takes hints of geometry from the Cervelo R5 and features a weight in the middle between the R5 and S5, providing a perfect compromise in weight and price without sacrificing stability or precision. For optimized aerodynamics, Cervelo created an internal routing design that threads the cables under the stem and through the bearing camp to allow for easier modifications over time.
This version of the Cervelo Soloist is spec’d with the Shimano 105 2 x 12-speed groupset, providing us with trustworthy shifting, stopping, and an overall comfortable ride. Featuring a 52/36t chainring combination and an 11-34t cassette range, this bike prepares us to confidently tackle anything that comes our way with a wide range of gearing ratios at a 1:1 ratio. Though our goal is to go as fast as possible, quick and efficient stops are still a huge part of our riding experience, and we trust in the Shimano 105 disc brake system to provide crisp stops that make slowing down feel as good as sprinting to the finish line. Lastly, the mixed profile of the Reserve 40|44 carbon fiber wheelset offers exceptional stability and aerodynamics at an extremely low weight, while the Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR G2.0 tires keep us rolling with unmatched grip and low rolling resistance.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level. Great road bike
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Great bike the only issue, the handlebar was to small and the crankset was to short for me, they should ask you the sizes you need, I had to spend extra 900 dollars. But anyway I made a great purchase love it.

Great bike

Since my last roadie was Dura Ace from 2014 I can't believe how snappy quick the 105 shifts. I honestly had second thoughts about 105 on such a nice bike but I'm extremely impressed. It actually has a shorter throw than the older Dura Ace
