Why We Like The Cervelo Soloist 105 Road Bike
Sitting comfortably between the ultra-fast S5 and lightweight R5, Cervelo’s Soloist 105 Road Bike is the perfect choice for fast rides with long-distance comfort. Balancing weight savings and aerodynamics at an affordable price point, this fast, fun bike is the ideal choice for the everyday rider looking for a high-performance bike that does it all, whether we kit up for the weekly crit series or the weekend group ride. With a race geometry built for optimal handling, stability, and aerodynamics, we are placed in a powerful position that helps us sprint to the finish line plus, climb and descend with confidence.
Though electronic shifting is taking the cycling world by storm, there’s nothing wrong with sticking to a classic mechanical setup. With this Soloist model, the Shimano 105 drivetrain keeps us in full control of our ride, using an ergonomic dual-control lever design that enhances leverage and comfort to shift between gears with minimal effort. With the 2 x 12-speed setup that features a 50/34t chainring combination and an 11-34t cassette range, we are ready to take on any climb or descent with unreal confidence. And, when it’s time to slam on the brakes at the bottom of the canyon, the race-ready Shimano 105 disc brake system provides optimal braking control at a moment’s notice.
