Why We Like The Chaco Rapid Pro Sandal
Chaco was founded by a raft guide and has made sandals that cater to river lovers for over three decades. To celebrate the strides this company has made, the Rapid Pro Sandal was made. This paddling essential was created with input from raft guides to make our favorite slingback sandals perform even better as we navigate rapids. The jacquard webbing, signature in all of Chaco's sport sandals, is reinforced with 30% more nylon to increase durability. A smaller buckle replaces the original to lessen pressure on the foot when wedging it into the raft. But the true hero of this sandal is the updated sole—Vibram MegaGrip delivers the stickiness necessary to stay stable in the wet rafting environment, and the unique lug design moves water away and improves grip in critical zones.

Awesome Fly Fishing Chaos
I bought these at the beginning of last summer with the intention of wearing them wet wading. They are awesome outdoor chacos! Definitely noticed the improved grip on the rocks with the Vibram bottoms. The soles are a bit more firm than my normal Z1's, but I like having that stability when I'm cruising around on the rocks. Thanks Chaco!

Love the Rapid Pros!
Love them! My only request is that Chaco make the pull strap tail a little shorter. It drags on the ground on all of my Chacos… until I shorten them.

Awesome sandal but soles come off
Absolutely love these sandals and have been wearing them non-stop all summer long - daily walks, backcountry paddle boarding, sea kayaking, on the beach to the grocery store. You get it! They took a bit to get used to in terms of where the straps sat and rubbed on the feet but my feet feel supported, can't feel rocks and are very grippy even in the water. Unfortunately on my recent sea kayaking trip the Vibram sole has started to come off. Simple glue fix but wasn't expecting this to happen.

Great shoe!!!
Usually I wear the z cloud because I need the extra cushion. I have not been able to find the cloud without the toe strap in a color I like. I called to complain and the person I spoke to suggested I try the Rapid Pro. I just knew I was not going to like it. WELL I was wrong. Great shoe and very comfortable. No foot problems. Thank you for helping me take care of my feet!

Get the extra grip. Its worth it.
Yesterday took them on slippery Alaskan rocks. Worked like glue. Wish I bought the wider strap ones though.

Very uncomfortable
No cushion, like walking on a piece of wood. I had to stop at a store and buy Tevas to make it through the day.

Perfect summer outdoor shoe
Very comfortable. I have wore these almost everyday since I got them. At concerts, swimming in rivers, and on hikes. They are versatile.

Great traction, needs a wide size option
Really great overall! But so narrow on my feet. I sized up but almost wish I'd gone one more even though length is spot on. I'd buy mens, but they don't run small enough, and no rapid pro kids option either. Hiked with a friend wearing regular chacos on a rainy hike up and around some small cliffs. Any time he slid or fell from traction, I'd try it in my chacos and couldn't even make them slip an inch on wet rock.
