This is a fantastic stove!

This stove was built extremely well, very solid, and a breeze to set up! In less than 5 minutes, it was up and running and the burners boiled the water in my tea kettle just as fast as my camper stove, if not faster. I appreciate that the stove has minimal parts which makes cleaning easy. You can make full meals with this little thing. I am a very big fan and I highly recommend this.

unsafe manufacturing defects

Serious (and very unsafe!) manufacturing defects. Both burners were permanently affixed in a skewed way, and the flat plate was off-center leading to a gap along one edge.

DO NOT BUY. This stove is poorly built junk

This stove is poorly built junk. If you buy it thinking that you’ll get a quality Coleman stove that lasts for 20+ years you are solely mistaken. This appears to have been made to improve Coleman’s finances not yours.

Gas leak long-term risk.

I was happy with this for a number of years. However, the copper gas tube cracked adjacent to the left burner, leaking gas into the interior - which would eventually ignite, or just drain the propane bottle, if lucky. Unbeknownst to me, the tubular bolt behind the left knob that secured the gas valve was loose or loosened. My assessment: the copper tube was acting as the knob rotation stop, flexing slightly each time the knob was turned to full on and full off. This work-hardened the copper and caused it to eventually crack and leak gas.

unsafe junk

bought this a few years ago to replace my old green Coleman that lasted more than 25 years because they had discontinued that model. Right away, I found that the design for lighting and ease of use were inferior. Five years later, the copper tube developed a leak where it was welded to the hookup, and became unusable and potentially dangerous as propane would build up inside the stove and ignite from the burner, causing a small explosion that would blow out the burner flame as well. I had to abandon my camping trip a few days early because I was scared to use the stove. It appears that the green stoves are again for sale as the Classic. I'd spend the extra money for that.
