What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This jacket is built for serious cold. The 600-fill power goose down insulation keeps me toasty, while the Omni-Heat™ Infinity lining reflects body heat without adding bulk. The long length and droptail hem provide extra coverage, and the adjustable hood and cuffs help seal out the chill. When the temperatures plummet, we count on the Hexbreaker Elite II Hooded Down Jacket for uncompromising warmth and protection. Packed with 600-fill power responsibly sourced goose down, this jacket delivers lightweight insulation, while the Omni-Heat™ Infinity lining enhances heat retention with its advanced thermal-reflective technology.

Designed for frigid conditions, the long length and droptail hem provide extra coverage, while the removable, adjustable hood adds versatility for changing weather. The Omni-Shield™ shell repels moisture and stains, keeping us dry and looking sharp no matter the conditions. Returned - length

I’m 5’2”, 130 lbs. Medium was the perfect size, However, I returned due to length. My current Patagonia is 39” from center back and thought this one would be ideal. But the drop hem makes this coat 39.5” in back (as noted in product description, but 2.5” inches shorter in the front. When it’s cold and windy in the winter, I do not want more coverage on only my back. If I need more movement range, the 2-way zipper gives that flexibility. Columbia - please tweak this otherwise perfect coat to solve! Thank you from a loyal customer.

Warmest Jacket Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as a Christmas gift for my mom. She had tried multiple other jackets from The North Face and did not like them but absolutely loved this jacket. It is light weight and flexible but so warm. Perfect for Chicago winters. She said it’s the warmest jacket she has ever owned. Highly recommend. She needed a L on north face but XL for Columbia

Runs a little tight, very warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sizing is on the tight side, I am normally a medium and it was too snug, a large would look too big, feels very warm but made me look a bit wider due to the puffiness, didn’t like the Velcro closures instead of buttons on the front of the jacket but rest of quality was good

Nice cold weather coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this down coat for cold weather in Central Oregon for when the temps run 0-20 night, 20-40 days. So far so good. It’s warm without being bone-crushing heavy. I like that the hood is ample. The only complaint I have is that the Velcro closures down the front have stuck to sweaters and tights on occasion - not good.

Best coat I’ve ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very glad I purchased this coat! I had a hard time choosing what I coat I wanted, but I knew it had to be a Columbia! I love that this specific coat can be cinched in the waist. For these Wisconsin and Midwest winters, I am set. This is probably the best coat I’ve ever had. No complaints.
