Columbia Hikebound II Insulated Jacket keeps warmth in and wet weather out with waterproof insulation and thermal tech

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This is my go-to jacket for hiking in unpredictable weather. The waterproof shell and critically sealed seams keep me dry, while the Omni-Heat Reflective lining adds warmth without bulk. I love the synthetic insulation because it stays warm even when damp, and the adjustable cuffs, hem, and hood help seal out the elements. Whether I’m out on a trail or walking around town, this jacket keeps me comfortable and protected."

When the forecast calls for cold and wet conditions, we grab the Hikebound II Insulated Jacket to keep us warm, dry, and ready for any adventure. The waterproof-breathable Omni-Tech shell sheds rain and snow, while critically sealed seams provide extra protection in key areas.

Inside, the Omni-Heat Reflective lining maximizes warmth by trapping body heat, and synthetic insulation ensures we stay toasty—even when the weather turns damp. Thoughtful features like an adjustable hood, hem, and cuffs help block out wind and drafts, while zippered pockets keep small essentials secure. Whether we’re trekking through misty forests or facing sudden downpours on the trail, this jacket has our back.

Columbia red winter jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is both cool-looking, comfortable, warm and light. I'm going to be using it all winter

Not warm enough

Love the fit but not warm enough for a Minnesota winter. I have to wear a full zip hoodie with it. The Velcro at the top is so stiff it leaves marks under my chin from numerous scratches.

Men's Hikebound™ II Insulated Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my 18-yr-old daughter-she prefers a larger, roomier coat. Colors are bright and vibrant. The shoulders are more brown than expected, but we like the look. Can't wait to see this coat out on the slopes!

Great coat but size online bigger than in store

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great coat except that size was bigger in online order than at actual Columbia store. So took coat to the store (workers were fabulous) and got 1 size smaller.

Great quality and color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got the red hikebound insulated jacket for my 14 year old son. He's a skinny kid at 5'4" and the small looks a bit big but I do want him to have room to grow so he can get several seasons out of it. The quality is wonderful and very warm. We have a dog that likes to jump up on him when he comes home and I know this material can handle it, unlike his puffer jacket. Red color pops! Love it all around.
