Could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got these a couple weeks ago and have worn them several times for cold, wet, early spring fishing. I got the brown ones and they are exactly as pictured. I like the smaller opening on top because they don’t pop out from the rain pants bottom and fill with rain water. The grip is great. Easy to operate a trolling motor with. The sole/cushion is very comfortable standing all day fishing from the deck of a boat. Only worn a couple weeks so I can’t speak of durability yet. The grab loops are great. They have good flexability. The heal does move a little in these but they are slip on boots not lace up so that is exactly what you would expect. They hug the ankle well. My only gripe and reason for the four stars is the toe box section. I wear size 11 normal width, in virtually all other footwear; as far as length, these are just right. However, the toe box section is narrow. For a boot that’s designed for cold wet conditions, you don’t want them tight around the front and toes because you instantly lose the warmth factor. Again, I am size 11 normal width in all other boots and shoes, and the only socks I can wear with these are thin dress type socks without my feet being totally squished and subsequently getting cold. It would have been nice to have a little more room in the toe box to wear even a normal pair of crew socks. With bare feet there is more room but when you’re fishing in 40 degrees a pair of socks would be great. A size up in 12 would be much too big as the 11’s like I said earlier, fit great for length for my size 11 feet. If you have very narrow feet then these will be great. I’ll continue to wear them with bare feet or super thin socks because they are comfortable and keep the feet dry. Had they been available in store locally, it would have been nice to try them on first. It’s always a gamble ordering what you can’t try on first. Make the toe box bigger and these would be a real five star winner.

Great Gear for the Boat!
I have been a full-time fishing guide in Southwest Florida for over 30 years. In that time I have learned the hard lessons out on the saltwater which teach you there is no substitute for Great Gear.!! These new Columbia boots are the best I’ve seen in the outdoor industry for day and day out working on a boat. They are comfortable, waterproof, and they do not slip.!!! Great job to the R&D team at Columbia outdoors!!

Awesome boots for the OR!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these boots for a different intention. I work in the operating room for orthopedic surgery. We deal with blood and other fluids that often get on us. Having these waterproof boots keep me dry and they are easy to clean. As an added bonus, these are by far the most comfortable ankle boots I've tried to date!

First Impression- Best boot out of the box!
Based on first impression, very light, supportive, cushiony, and fit as expected. The brown is definitely darker in person.
