What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This jacket is my go-to for cold, damp conditions. The Omni-Heat™ lining keeps me warm by reflecting body heat, while the Omni-Shield™ treatment repels snow and drizzle. The fleece-lined hood is a cozy touch, and the adjustable waist lets me dial in the perfect fit. Whether I’m heading out on a winter hike or running errands in freezing temps, this jacket keeps me comfortable and stylish."

We don’t let winter slow us down, and with the Columbia Suttle Mountain III Insulated Jacket, we stay warm and dry no matter the adventure. This versatile jacket is packed with Columbia’s Omni-Heat™ thermal-reflective technology, which retains our body heat without adding bulk, making it perfect for crisp morning hikes or strolls through snow-covered streets.

Built to handle unpredictable conditions, the Omni-Shield™ water-resistant fabric keeps light rain and snow from soaking in, while synthetic insulation ensures we stay cozy even in damp weather. The fleece-lined hood, complete with removable faux fur trim, provides extra warmth, and the adjustable waist and cuffs let us customize the fit. OmniHeat layer only covers part of the coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Regular size:- Medium, Purchased: Large Pro: *The longer length of the back of the coat is my favorite part of the coat. *Keep me warm in the sunny T.20’s F days, layered with a long sleeved t-shirt, Columbia fleece hoodie, and a poli-filled vest. *Hood is deep with the fur trim attached. *Light weight and warm *Omni Shield is water repellent (not breathable) Con: *OmniHeat Layer only covers the front and the back of the coat above the waist areas, not the rest of the coat. *Sleeves have no OmniHeat layer, and they are tight with the layering of a long sleeved t-shirt, Columbia fleece hoodie, especially at underarm areas. (For: Ht. 5’5”, Wt. between 115-118 lbs; shoulders circumference: 17”, upper arms circumference: 13”. Coat is sized up from regular Sz. M to Sz. L for extra layering) *The edge of the hood is stiff, especially when the drawstring is tightened, and big gaps left between the hood and the sides of the head. Must wear a cap to keep warm. The hood is not comfortable after the draw cord is tightened. The fur trim is attached with four tiny holes button holes and two side snaps to the extra layers of the edge of the hood. *Not the good normal Columbia Sportswear quality. Loose ends of threads needed to be clipped off the coat before wearing. *No toggles on the drawcords on sides of the waist and the hood of the coat. I needed to add toggles on them. *Thin, short, flimsy cord used for the zipper pulls. I replaced them with better quality and longer cords. As a loyal Columbia customer on behalf of our whole family (Including us, our kids, then they became adults, and our teenager grandkids), we wish Columbia keeps the good standard of excellent qualities of the innovation products that carry the Columbia logos that we will continue having confidence and faith patronage that in the other coming decade.

LOVE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in love with this coat. I have two other Columbia coats, one long and one fitted, and needed something "sportier". Very pleased. I am a Columbia customer for life.

Nice jacket but runs small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very warm jacket. I like the shape of it. Comfortable and nice. The hood part is very warm which I really appreciate. Jacket definitely runs small! I have a large but typically buy extra large because I like my clothes room here and an extra large was very tight around the shoulder area and under arms. I bought another Columbia jacket at the same time and have one from a few years ago in the same size and neither one are tight in these areas.
