Designed for seamless transitions between seasons and conditions, the Columbia Whirlibird V Interchange Jacket easily handles spring hikes, summer thunderstorms, and winter ski days. The 3-in-1 jacket features a waterproof Omni-Tech shell that can be worn by itself on rainy summer afternoons or combined with the insulated liner jacket for total warmth and protection as the snow starts to fall. The inner jacket features Thermarator synthetic insulation, and an Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining that traps our body heat for an extra layer of defense as we take the ski lift up to put down laps on our favorite runs. The thoughtful design comes equipped with a snap-away powder skirt and zippered underarm vents, truly making it the only jacket we need for year-round adventure.

Purchased For Upcoming Alaskan Cruise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased this jacket. I have only worn the inner shell so far. The inner shell is very warm, especially when you take into account it is a pretty thin jacket. I have no doubt the outer shell will keep me dry. I purchased this for an upcoming cruise to Alaska. I have never been on an Alaskan cruise, so I am not exactly sure what to expect weather wise. I am hopeful this jacket will be good on the wet days and the cold days and the not as cold days.

Great jacket but velcro causes fabric to fuzz

I really like this jacket. It's well made and keeps me warm on cold rainy/snowy days. My only criticism is the hook side of the velcro that may be used to fasten the jacket together sticks to the jacket fabric and causes it to become noticably fuzzy and worn. This is especially a problem with the collar velcro. I would give it five stars except for the velcro issue.

Good Jacket but don't use size calculator

Its definitely a good jacket. However im very disappointed with the size guide that columbia offers. First of all size calculator that takes Height (183cm) , Weight (90kg), Age (39) and Pant waist(39in) as an input suggested that i should choose XL and here i felt something is wrong. Cause according to the size chart my body measures falls somewhere between M and L. And what is also interesting that when i change the age to 16 in calculator it suggests size L instead of XL. So i didin't risk to get M and choose L instead. L is a bit loose on me so probably i dint made a mistake here but again not sure if it was a best fit cause sizing is not clear even according to the chart.

Great fit on a slim frame

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 5’7”, 120 and I was worried this would swallow him, but it didn’t. It is true to size and a perfect fit. Not heavy or bulky.
