Excellent Comfortable Gravel Shoe

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Spent the past few months in this shoe (paired with some Candy pedals), and they fill a great slot in my lineup. These have a last shape that will work with most feet from my perspective. Wide toebox and relatively high volume forefoot, and a narrowish heel pocket that has substantial padding to lock your heel down. Absolutely no heel slip walking off the bike. The sole plate isn't the stiffest, which makes for a really comfortable shoe overall. If you're after the stiffest possible shoe for racing, this isn't the shoe for you. If you're looking for a comfortable shoe that won't let you down with an exploded BOA dial 25 miles from civilization, this should definitely be a front-runner for you. Rocking these with Candy pedals is seamless, but will work with all the other 2 bolt pedal/cleat options as well. I wear a 11/11.5 US men's street shoe, 45 Shimano, 46 Lake, 45 Fizik, 45.5 Giro, and the 11 US/46 EU is a perfect fit for me. #CompetitiveCyclistGearheads #BackcountryGearheads

Great Pedal

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

There is a mild snap when engaged and the shoe does not have any wiggle. There is a good balance between staying clipped in and having to unclip. I bought crank brothers candy shoes but they were too thin and didn’t fit my feet. Went with Lake mx177 shoes and it’s a perfect match with these pedals.
