Restrictive Fit - Iffy Warmth Rating

I returned these before wearing them on the mountain based on my experience at home. The fit was very restrictive, allowing pretty much zero internal room for fingers to spread. There are individual finger liners (non removable, product description does not address this), but there is so little room in the shell that all four fingers are really locked together tight. This might be fine for some, but felt too restrictive to me. Also, for a glove that is 4/5 on the Dakine warmth scale, they feel pretty thin and not very substantial. Maybe there is some sort of magic insulation technology at work, but based on the fit and feel, I didn't think it was worth testing on the mountain to find out.
