Boots are great. Process on Backcountry.com was the best I could find between in-store pricing and online pricing. Very pleased with the overall purchase and boots.

Boots Smell Like Cat Pee

I bought 2 pairs of these boots for my husband. He needed new ones and loved the first pair so I instantly bought the second for back up and just nice evenings out. The first pair ended up smelling like cat pee after a month and we DO NOT OWN ANY ANIMALS! He soaked them with vinegar and it didn't work then used Danner boot cleaners and it didn't work then soaked in laundry soap (just the sole) in the bathtub over night and it didn't work. They stink so bad that he can't wear them at work or even public bc of the smell. He then started using his other pair and it's been a little over a month and the smell started again! It's like once you hit the second month your doomed! So disappointing bc they look great and he loves them and super comfortable after the break in process by now they are useless! I can't recommend these solely bc it happened to both pairs not just one! Good luck!

I bought these boots knowing that they are a light duty boot but I figured they could take at least the beating of being on a roof.. But My feet being a different angles in the boot did not work out too well.. I've had the boots now for 8 months But have only worked in them for about 5 and the upper stitching has blown out! The toe is gone.. Are you trying to make a boot that's just fashionable or a boot for work.. I'm not very impressed!
