Perfect Pack!

I ordered this pack because I needed a day pack that had hip straps for a longer day hike I was planning on doing. I used it for the first time on that hike- 26 miles in the Tetons- and it was absolutely perfect, with features I didn't even know existed in day packs or backpacking packs, such as a bottom zipper below the main pack so you can easily access items at the bottom of your pack, smaller straps not just to adjust the length of the strap but to adjust how close the pack sits to your back, and more. I usually get some back pain from carrying lots of gear on longer day hikes (water, snacks, layers, etc) but the hip straps sat perfectly on me, designed for individuals with a shorter torso. This was a PERFECT daypack for me for longer hikes, cannot recommend enough!

The Goldilocks of packs

Absolutely love Deuter packs, especially the Futura. The ventilated air system/frame keeps the pack away from your back creating air flow and no more sweaty back. It’s the most comfortable pack I’ve ever worn and a perfect day pack size. Lots of pockets and the belt pockets are pretty roomy. I love the padded hip belt and shoulder straps, it carries weight nicely and is really comfortable.

Short Torso Fit

Overall the pack is well made, love the compartments and overall organization. Only reason I am giving a lower score is because it should be able to fit a shorter torso (15in) due to the dimensions and specs but the top of the pack digs into the back of my neck. The shoulder straps also create a weird gap that makes the pack a little uncomfortable. If you have a shorter torso, I would recommend trying a different pack because this one might not fit well.
