So much better than the unisex one
I purchased this after borrowing the unisex version for carrying my 30lb toddler. I was very skeptical of the "women's fit" (why would I want narrower straps?) and bought this one only because it was less expensive and I am a cheapskate. However, it's great! I am 5'5", so not super petite, but i have a smaller frame. This one is way more comfortable for me. Can't even put my finger on what it is exactly - but the weight distribution is better, and I feel more balanced when standing/walking. My kid is somehow up higher relative to me than he was in the unisex version, even when it was adjusted in the same way. I totally recommend it if you have a woman's body or if you are just a shorter/smaller person.

Perfect
I bought this bag after owning the standard version of deuter child carrier for it’s adjustability. My husband is 6’3” and I am 5’0” and 115lbs, so we needed something that we could both wear. It worked alright, but as our family grew we needed two carriers to keep hiking. This one is SO much more comfortable for me. I was even able to carry our 20lb toddler while 8 months pregnant comfortably. Would not have been able to do that in the standard carrier. If you are short and or slim, THIS is the carrier for you.
