Why We Like The Dynafit TLT X Boot
When remote summits are calling our name we pull on the Dynafit TLT X Boot. These backcountry-specific boots combine a dial-style closure with an oversized power strap to ensure we are comfortable on the uphill and control on the downhill. Meanwhile, the relaxed 101mm last eliminates discomfort to encourage another lap or an even more involved mission.

Love these boots for the sneaker-like feel, range of motion in walk mode, and the easy dial-in fit. Much lighter in the skin track than my Fischer Rangers, and still decent control on the down. They’re now available in an extra wide last. Dynafit claims it’s 107 mm vs. 101 mm. That might vary with shell size but it’s still enough that I sold my regulars and switched to the extra wide. I have a Morton’s neuroma on one foot and the difference is enough to keep it from acting up.
