This suitcase is SOLID. I generally use softer suitcases for travel, especially duffels, but my wife and son both have hard shell suitcases so I figured it was time for me to give it a go myself. The Resist'R from Eastpak is incredible! First impressions had me stoked to begin with, but actually using it to travel has been amazing! It performs more like a hard shell roof top cargo case than a travel bag. The clasp closure system, instead of an all-around zipper closure, makes for a very easy open/close and the clasps are extremely well built and solid. The casing of the suitcase itself is very rugged, ensuring my belongings are well protected during the harsh cargo handling by airlines. I actually got to watch it be thrown onto the airplane and come tumbling onto the baggage claim carousel and it still looks brand new. I was concerned with the lack of a zipper in being able to hold in all the contents for an over-packer, but even by stuffing it full, the suitcase seals properly all around and the buckles provide a secure closure. The 3-dial locks are very easy to change - just a switch on the back puts it in reset mode and once switched back it's done! Everything from the rollers to the handles scream long-lasting durable quality. I expect this will be my last purchase in the suitcase realm, unless of course I need to buy the bigger one for a longer trip.
