Why does this weight over 20lbs
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Standard airlines have a 50lb max on all bags. Why would you make a bag that weighs nearly half the allowable weight limit. So this bag only is able to take lightweight bikes, or pay the extreme airline overweight costs. Do better Dakine.

fell apart
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Had this bag for 3 years, flew less than a dozen times, and it fell apart. The stabilizing rod busted out of the sleeve, the bottom lost integrity, the corners got totally frayed and the body fabric started pilling (how!?) I emailed EVOC about their warranty, but turns out it doesn't cover baggage mishandling or excessive wear and tear (I'm also outside the 2 year window). Only good thing I can say about it is that the wheels roll nice and quiet. If you fly a lot, this bag isn't for you.

Poor fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I purchased this to transport my girlfriends MEDIUM Ibis Ripmo. I couldn't have been more displeased with how the bike fit in the case. The rear support fit like it was meant for a road bike or something, the fork and rear triangle were practically busting out the ends, and the handle bar angle looked like it was on a mission to scratch the fork stantions. We purchased this because in theory it should fit my XL Hightower as well, which has an even longer wheelbase. I haven't tried it yet, but I have some serious doubts since the medium Ripmo barely fit. The case also likes to teeter back and fourth when sitting on flag ground. Idk how this case got such good reviews. The Dakine is a much better fit for my XL frame, feels very well built and overall my highly preferred choice over the EVOC. I did contact EVOC support requesting an exchange (with me paying the difference) to get the pro version, and they denied my request. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars, is because the bike did arrive safely. I wasn't confident it would arrive without damage though...

Euro Trippin'
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
A smarter man once said something about having to fear just fear itself, or something along those lines. He was wrong, when we travel with bikes to another country, there are many other realistic fears to come to terms with. Good thing Evoc has us covered for a relatively low price. I'll be real. I was scared handing off my bike to TSA in this bag. I wanted to cover it in "FRAGILE, THIS SIDE UP" stickers. but low and behold - no bent rotors, no broken seat stays, no bent derailleur (i took it off to be safe). Needless to say, this Evoc bag kept our (yes 2) bikes safe to EU & back to good ol' US of A. You'll be guaranteed of stressing about your bikes' voyage, but rest assured this bag does what it needs to.

Well designed overall

This was first trip with this case. My trail MTB was on heavy side so was overweight by 7 lbs. I think case could use better protection on front corners. Like the overall design though
