Bought 2 pair

I need a shoe with a hard sole because of orthotics. These are a perfect. They have a great look without looking sterile. The wide flat sole provides great stability and my orthotics fit without issue or discomfort. The sole is a light lug style but provides good grip and would work for any level. They are not steel toe but do have a toe scuff guard. They’re durable and have actually had a few comments on them.

Interesting fit!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
10.5

I ordered an 11, but it was too long . I usually wear 11, but the 10.5 felt better. This shoe has a wide toe box, but it is very low volume. I have some pinching in the front of my foot, while the heel feels somewhat sloppy. I love these things around town. Oddly, it's almost a better bike shoes than approach shoe. But as far as getting out of the car and doing basic outdoor rec it fits the bill.

Cool shoe but a little tight in the toes

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
11

I bought this shoe without having the chance to try it on. It is a very good-looking shoe in person. I have received several complimentary comments already on its appearance. It also appears to be well-made and should last a good while. My only issue is the very low volume toe box area. My size 11 has plenty of length and width in the toe box but it is very low in height which creates a cramped, pinching sensation at the tips and top of the toes. I have only worn them a half-dozen times and hoping it will stretch a bit with break-in. In the meantime I pulled the original insert that is thicker that most and replaced it with a thinner insert that I had laying around from another shoe. This has made all the difference in comfort. I will keep this setup unless the toe box does stretch and allow me to run the original inserts. Overall, I am now very happy with the shoes with this modification of swapping to a thinner insert.

Decent shoe, just watch sizing.

I love the look of the shoe. They're similar to skateboard shoes both in fit and feel the soles are surprisingly less "grippy" than I would have expected for a shoe advertised for climbing potential, but overall I like them. My biggest complaint is sizing. I normally wear a 7.5 US/40 EU in most shoes but in this shoe, I definitely need an 8.

Very grippy on rock and any other terrain besides packed snow. Highly durable and very warm. Not sure if they're too hot in the summer, but a great winter shoe so far.

Variety is the spice of life. These shoes bring it

These shoes are no joke. I just ordered my fourth pair in about 6 years. Why? The same shoes over and over? Not because I have no imagination... and it's not because I'm boring. No, no... I'm rad. And I find that life's most savory spice is certainly variety. It's because these shoes have that versatility and durability to bring the spiciness of life. I wear them 365 days a year pretty much. Unless the only thing I wear that day is a snowboard boot. No matter what the day has in store, I slip my feet into these babies and I'm out the door. Hiking, mtn biking, welding, camping, canyoneering, dancing, skating, fancy dinner date (your mileage my vary). I'm a welder. I get the real leather ones because I work in them. Yes, I weld in these and let me tell you, steelwork is hard on EVERYTHING. I have to get all my work clothes from the thrift store cause I go through pants and flannels like coffee filters. Winter, spring, summer, fall. I live in a mountain town at 9,000ft. These shoes have the best soles I've ever walked icy snowy streets in AND my feet stay dry. I get about a year and a half out of each pair. I could get more out of them, but I'm not the dirtbag I once was. I don't wait till the soles are falling off and holes worn through. I've never had them blow out or anything. So, for those dirtbags out there, just keep wearing them they'll go as far as your Subaru will take you. I just like to look a little fresh so, I put them in the town free box for someone else to enjoy, and bust out the fresh pair I store in the closet, cause ya know, always be prepared.

Rebel is a great shoe right out of the box

Awesome shoe. Fit really tight for the first few hours and then fit perfectly after a very short break-in. I ordered a 10.5 which is my normal shoe size. Such a great shoe that I've already ordered a second pair only 1 week later...

Pretty Fly

Size 10 vans (eras) fit me flawlessly -- the size 10 Rebels were a smidge too long. Width was perfect, but I had a bit of space at the toe end with my heels at the back. THAT SAID, I'm a long-time boulderer and I prefer a pretty precise fit as far as length. If you like a looser fit, these may be true to size for you. I am going to try a 9.5, so a half size down from my vans, to see if I can get a precision length fit. I can always loosen the laces if they are a bit narrow.

Great shoe! Wanted something that doesn't look and scream, I'm a rock climber! These fit the bill. It's like wearing a pair of Van's but you can actually hike and scramble in these. Fit is true and feels great. Had an old Cruiser from Evolv that were pretty narrow and ended up blowing out of those on the side. These won't have those issues and seem really well made and durable materials. Think I may get a second color.
