Why We Like The Canyon Creek Chest Pack
Compact yet feature heavy, the Canyon Creek Chest Pack carries all we need for a day on the river. The air mesh back keeps us cool, while the streamlined system keeps our tools out of the way yet at the ready. For longer, more gear-intensive pursuits, the modular design attaches to other Fishpond systems (sold separately) to increase our carry capacity.

I traded the thunderhead chest pack for this simply because i want pockets and a fold-out work tray. While the Thunderhead model is very slick, I want to be able to pull a leader, indicator, fly, etc. quickly and stash whatever I'm discarding quickly and easily. If you subscribed to the KISS method, my review will quickly convince you that the Thunderhead is a better option. But i like all the slots, pockets and sleves available. I also like how the front will unzip all the way and fold out, giving me a flat surface and Tacky dock to place a fly and make a convenient swap of my kit. This clicks into my Thunderhead backpack nicely so I can have all my layers, camera, etc. safely waterproof and quick access to my fishing stuff all at the same time.
