Why We Like The Five Ten Trailcross XT Cycling Shoe
With ultra-sticky Stealth Phantom rubber and an impact-resistant toe box, the Five Ten Trailcross XT is built for our biggest adventures. The legendary Dotty outsole ensures we have tons of grip on our pedals, while directional lugs on the heel and siped lugs on the toe give us a steady grip when we have to hike our bike up steep faces. This updated design includes added heel and ankle support for stable footing on and off the bike.

Great fit and no break in
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great five tens. I wear these to hike and work as I'm on my feet all day. I own a couple other versions for MTB and they hold up always.

Grippy, comfy, breathable, but lacks stiffness.
The Five Ten Trailcross XT is a great choice if you’re looking for a mountain biking shoe that balances pedal grip, comfort, and walkability. It sticks well to flat pedals thanks to the Stealth Phantom rubber outsole, giving you confidence on rough trails while still being easy to walk in when you need to hike. It’s lightweight and breathable, which is great for hot rides, but that also means it won’t keep your feet dry in wet conditions. The fit is snug, almost like a sock, with a high ankle collar that helps keep dirt and debris out—though it might feel a little restrictive for some. The midsole is cushioned enough for all-day comfort but not super stiff, so if you’re into aggressive riding, you might want something firmer. Overall, if you need a versatile MTB shoe that works well both on and off the bike, the Trailcross XT is a solid pick. It’s comfortable, grippy, and great for adventure rides—just don’t expect it to be the best for super wet or hardcore downhill conditions.

Extremely sturdy and tough shoe. 4 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the interior of the shoe, although low at the ankle is very comfortable and sturdy. this is very much a shoe with a stiff, resistant exterior. the treads are futuristic and can be slippery on wood floors. this is an outdoor shoe,,, for the trail only. this shoe could quite possibly also be used when bouldering or even rock climbing. you sure won't stub a toe when your foot hits the face of what you're climbing!
