Love the backpack, dislike the service

Bought the backpack online around Thanksgiving. Had to call less than a week before Xmas due to no updated shipping. The customer service rep was great and fed exed a new backpack which did arrive before Xmas. However, had I not called and did the leg work, I would’ve been out of luck. Backcountry should be providing the service not me doing self service.

Versatile

I bought this bag as a gift for my niece for her 1st year in college. She is a petite lady, and the size fits her perfectly. I was surprised the bag is very spacious, it fits her iPad and one big book for class. Our favorite feature are the straps that can be worn in 3 ways.

Practical but Could Use Some Improvements

I recently purchased this bag, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. The size is excellent and can hold a surprising amount of items, making it perfect for daily use or travel. However, I found the outer side pockets to be a bit of a letdown. They are too tight to hold anything substantial, which limits their functionality. Additionally, there's no place to clip items on the outside of the bag, which would have been a nice feature for added convenience. I bought the pink color, and it looks quite different from the online photos. It appears as a pale pink in the pictures, but in person, it's a much hotter pink. Despite these minor issues, it's still a sturdy and reliable bag that serves its primary purpose well.

Don't count on the side pockets

Cute mini totepack. Great idea, but not very functional if it does not fit my small water bottles. It only gets 3 stars because I honestly bought it to fit two of hydroflask bottles (12oz and 24oz) bottles for my daily. They won't fit unless you remove the "boot" of the water bottle and fight it to fit inside. My Stanley bottle (20oz) does not even fit half way. However my Hint plastic bottle and a mini umbrella fit okay. I did not want the full size tote. I guess this is how I learn my lesson.

I don't write a lot of reviews but I love this bag so it deserves one. It's a great size for almost everything: music festivals, airplane "personal item", a day at the beach, urban exploring, etc. I can even fit my 13" Macbook inside-- it's a tight fit but it does zip closed. The only things that would bring it up to 5 stars are 1. more loops to clip things onto, especially inside the bag; 2. (Common complaint) Bigger side pockets; 3. Some way to tuck the 2nd strap away when it's in "backpack mode".

Cute bag

I absolutely love this bag, it's roomier than I expected and the outer pockets keep everything I super need organized. The inner pockets are also the perfect size. I can keep my planner (I'm lost without it) in the tablet pocket with room to spare so my pen isn't pulled from the holder and lost inside, and the whole bag has way more space than my old mini backpack had. The design makes it easy to locate everything inside, and the color is beautiful.

Great bag

I love it! I have it navy and it's a gorgeous deep blue color. It can fit my standard size ipad with its case, along with my usual purse essentials. I wish this bag was a bit bigger so the front pocket can fit my iphone SE (2020). But I will just use it to hold my smaller trinkets instead. Love the zipper on top for easy access to my stuff. The straps when worn as a backpack are very comfortable, but as a shoulder bag - not so much. The plastic adjusters get in the way and kind of sticks out at the bottom when the straps are pulled out all the way. But overall a great little bag. I was afraid it would be too small but the size is perfect. I highly recommend it.
