Incredibly Warm and Well Made!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- XL
I didn't know how bad my generic old winter jacket was until I purchased this. It has been the best jacket I have ever owned. I work outside at winter markets and needed something that was durable, warm and had great storage. This jacket holds up to below freezing weather with wind. It is sturdy enough to hold up to the demands of physical labor (carrying containers, tents etc.). It has kept me dryer than my rain jacket in storms (I haven't applied any wax yet). It is still stain free after having been through many markets. The location and size of the pockets make it perfect for storing things during the markets or on hikes. I can carry water bottles in the pockets and the weight is distributed well so the jacket doesn't cut into my muscles. I love the double zipper too. It takes a bit to get used to, but it is so handy. If I had to change anything about it, it would be to add vent holes or zippers. It gets toasty inside when you're actively doing things. As far as size, I am 5'7" and around 165/170 lbs. I can wear layers with it, but considering how warm it is, I really don't need to. To me, that is how a winter jacket should fit.

Warm, durable, and not restricting
This is the warmest jacket I have ever owned, and having come from Northern Sweden I've tried many! This is the best jacket. It is not restricting, allows for full and fluid movement, but it is extremely warm. The hood is well made and doesn't blow down even walking directly into 60km/hr winds. I wore this jacket over regular clothing, without base or thermal layers, in -15 weather with heavy wind gusts just to see how well it did on its own and I was very comfortably warm. I have horses and they will rub up against me and press their heads into me and this jacket handles it all without any sign of wear and tear. I am 172cm and 54kg and I chose a size small. I could have fit into an extra-small, but I liked the extra room to be able to layer underneath on those really cold days.

Perfection, or close to it
Got my usual size, super warm and far superior to all my previous synthetic jackets. I like wearing oversized sweaters and they fit perfectly under this jacket. Fitted shirts work, too. The style is cute and slightly oversized, and not overly sleek and streamlined which is exactly what I'm going for.

This coat is SO warm, even in the December Chicago winds! I have hand arthritis but the zipper is easy even for me to work. I love this coat.

I bought this for a trip to Lapland in December. Really happy I made the investment in this coat. It kept me warm in the cold Lapland winter and it still looks good. I did size down one for a slightly more fitted look.

It got me through the force majeure cold in Sweden
I bought this parka in hopes to visit the Swedish Lapland again. And I did visit the Swedish Lapland beginning of January of THIS year!! Oh, my! We got hit by very low temps and were stuck in Abisko/Kiruna because all public transport was halted due to extreme cold.. Temps of -33 during the day and down to -42 at night. But it was no issue for me with this parka! It really held its promise and it really met my expectations. Of course I also had layers of merino underneath to keep me warm but the cut of the parka allows it. I am size Small in all jackets in Fjällräven and did not need to size up in my Singi. I also waxed it up nicely before the trip. The double zipper takes a bit of practice to get used it but it's worth it. At some point I laid down in the snow and watched the Northern Lights dance in the sky and the cold didn't bother me. As a conclusion, I am very happy I invested in this jacket. P.s. my height is 170, weight around 61-63, slim built. Size Small allows generous layers without looking bulky.

Excellent parka
Size down if you aren’t incorporating multiple layers underneath. I wear an XXS as a 5’1” petite woman, and find it to fit very well. Quality craftsmanship is evident and it is seriously warm. Faux fur is removable and leather accents on zipper and logo are from recycled Hanwag boots. Fjallraven doesn’t disappoint!

Incredible parka!
I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend, and she was able to use it for the first time during a trip to northern Europe, with very low temperatures (well below 0º), rain and snow. At no time has she had a feeling of cold or humidity, is very well insulated and gives a lot of heat! The Greenland wax from Fjällräven is essential to be able to stay like the first day!
