Skogso Jacket
Shoulder season hiking, rainy days spent fishing, and cool weather walks around town are all in a day's work for the Fjallraven Men's Skogso Jacket. Made with Fjallraven's G-1000 fabric, this jacket is treated with a water-resistant Greenland wax coating (sold separately) that can be removed or reapplied through a simple application process. The jacket uses a lighter version of the fabric throughout the body for a lighter feel that performs well in warmer temperatures, but as not to compromise durability, the jacket is reinforced at the shoulders and arms, so you hike with ease knowing the jacket won't tear easily. Pre-shaped elbows give the jacket an ergonomic fit, and the adjustable cuffs and hem help to seal in heat when things start to get chilly.

Great rainy/windy weather gear
I bought this jacket for the windy/Rainy weather in the Pacific Northwest and I’m very pleased with how it delivered. Warmth isn’t a strong suit of the jacket, but I think that’s not something you’re after if you’re looking at this. Very happy to have this in my wardrobe for hopefully years to come

Great rain jacket
Excellent jacket for rainy days in the UK. Fits well, pockets well placed and designed. Glad I bought it

Breathes better than gore tex
Great fit and function, sufficiently waterproof and better breathing than gore tex.

Good jacket but odd fit
Like the jacket and the features, but as other reviewers have noted; the fit is weird. Its too narrow in the shoulders and too wide in the torso, plus the sleeves are too long. I'm 72kg and 6ft, the medium is too wide and drafty in the torso and the small is too tight in the shoulders. Sleeves are too long on both sizes. Wish Fjallraven would update their fits across lots of their jackets.

Good jacket but strange fit
This is a nicely made jacket and feels well made. Be aware though that it is not in any way waterproof and is only shower proof until it wets out. This is not a serious jacket to take into the hills but more of a fashion jacket. The fit is also very strange, it comes up small around the torso but way too long on the arms. I am a standard medium build but needed to buy a large to fit me on the torso and the sleeves are way too long, I really don't understand the fit on this jacket.

Okay, not great.
Not really impressed with quality. Fit is not quite right. Sleeves are too long. I'm 5'9 with average length arms, and the sleeves cover half of my hands with the medium. If I had gotten small the jacket would have been too tight in the chest because the medium fits closely around my torso. I have the Expedition Pack Down in medium and the fit on that is perfect and feels very high quality. Not sure why this jacket is so much looser, and it seems to be a step down in quality for sure. Also, the zipper gets stuck easily and feels cheap. I would not buy this jacket again.

Exceptional quality, timeless style
I’ve been using this jacket for the past 8 months and it’s been extremely reliable in a variety of different conditions. Walking in sub zero temps, I found I was constantly undoing or taking off layers when using an insulated jacket, becoming sweaty and uncomfortable, but winter walking in the Skogsko I found it to be breathable and pleasant keeping me at a constant temperature. Once you stop, throwing on an insulated layer or hard shell will take care of the cooling down issue. Because of the fit (medium) and it’s stylish cut, you get only compliments when out and about, but the quality if it’s manufacture and rock solid construction means it’s practically bulletproof and can be used in all sorts of work/outdoor scenarios. I’ve been using it more and more on the farm and for forestry work, as you can brush up and rub against tough bark or metal fencing or briars without so much as a scratch on the material, especially if it’s been waxed a couple of times, and once it’s waxed it becomes very tough and durable with a patina’d look which adds to its appeal. Worn under my Hoggs waterproof, this jacket becomes a completely wind proof, waterproof system- it can be blowing 60 mph and you just will not feel a thing- absolutely no warmth escaping from anywhere. I must mention that the construction, build, stitching and overall quality seems to be superior to the insulated version of this jacket, so I’d recommend buying a size larger and layering accordingly for winter, as this jacket just gets better with age. Out of all my outdoor clothing purchases in the last two years this has been my favourite, most useful, and will continue to provide reliable functionality for years to come.

Solid for 11k ft winters
Happy with it for an outter shell with a Melanzana as my midnweight and a synthetic t-shirt.

Great jacket, DID NOT FIT
XXXL DID NOT FIT. Yes it is a 4 star review of a product that I cannot wear and have returned. I am 6'4" (193 cm) and 245 lbs (111 Kg) with a bit of a pot belly. I really wanted this jacket to fit, but it was too tight in the belly, and I could not sit or bend over without my belly stretching the jacket. I have other Fjallraven products, A Nuuk parka, in XXXL that fits perfectly, but the Skogso was too tight in the belly. It fit perfectly in the shoulder, neck and sleeves. So, sorry chubby people this is not the jacket for you. Maybe in the future Fjallraven will go the same route as other clothing manufacturers and offer extended sizes for big, but active people. Other than that great clothes(when they fit)

Waterproof?
Great looking jacket but maybe 1000 stands for how waterproof - it’s not waterproof at all! Caught in a shower and rain went right through. You’ll need to wax it yourself, quite extraordinary for an outdoor jacket. Wish me luck with the waxing!
