Why We Like The Fjallraven Vardag Hydratic Anorak
Whether we're exploring new trails or new cities, we have the Fjallraven Vardag Hydratic Anorak in tow. The chemical-free lamination acts as earth-friendly armor against sudden showers, while the relaxed fit, mechanical stretch, and venting side zip let us carry on in free-moving, easy-breathing comfort. When the skies clear, we shove this layer back inside its own pocket for compact stashing until it's needed again.

Not very water proof
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- medium
- Height:
- 5' 11"
- Weight:
- 170
Used this back packing last August. It rained hard the way in which was a four hour hike. I was soaked to the bone. It is not very water proof at all. Besides that I like it but for that reason it is not going to be good for much other than a wind breaker.

Great design
Bought this for a trip to Scandinavia and Japan. Light weight and very useful when it rained. Lots of great pockets. Great design

Not Great
Really wanted to love this, but it wet out in 20 minutes all three decent rains I took it in. For the cost and the weight, that's ridiculous. The hood design is bad unless it's zipped all the way up; if the neck zipper is left down, the flaps stick out enough to funnel rain down onto your chest. For what it's worth, the pocket/side vent setup is right where it needs to be.
