do not recommend
Way to tight compared to other pants of the same size sold by them.. pockets might as well not be there because you cant put anything in them. and again the sizing is all over the map. Get a size or two up than what you normally wear.

Pockets are terrible
Only problem is the pocket are pretty useless without pleats in them to allow them to expand. The left leg ones especially are very tight unless you have twigs for legs. Can fit in much without using force to push them in.

Haste makes chafe
No offense, but size up. I’m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it’s not you it’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn’t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn’t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

wear out faster than expected
I've worn these pants regularly for a little over a year and the fabric started to wear out much faster than expected for the price.

Super functional hiking/adventure pants
I have used this pants for a number of hiking/camping adventures with the family, as well as some day hikes. The front pockets are game changers; have access to small pocket camera, knife, snacks for the kids, etc makes these pants perfect for adventuring around. Yes they look "very technical", but that's the point...these pants are about function! Highly recommend them for hiking around and overall "adventure pants". I'm 6'0" tall and weight 170lbs....the 32x34 fit perfect.

Perfect All around pants
Excellent pants; wear them trekking, kayaking, hunting, and for everyday use. They dry quickly, hold up well with heavy use, and look good around town. These are all I wear in Alaska; and I’ve bought mine used. Thanks Fjallraven

The thread of the zipper came undone on this pair, had just about 1 year. The seamstress recommended the manufacturer put in size 15 zippers not the size 13 for more durability. Fabric is tough. I walk through a lot of thick brush and bramble in the hot summer and these pants keep me protected within reason and cool. The weave is so tight that the spikes seeds don’t stick to them. Also they dry quickly and are good in the rain. I have an older pair still in use and those ones only wore little holes in the sides by the pockets.

Improved Fit is a Dud
I have purchased several pairs of these pants and really liked them in the original sizing. For me, the new “improved fit” has now made one of my favorite pants no longer an option. The waist and seat dimensions have gotten smaller where the “slimmer fit” leaves less space for the thigh pockets, reduces functionality and simply does not fit (size 48 short). Improvements based on actual field use are welcome, but these changes seem fashion oriented. Why change what your customers love about your product? I sincerely hope the product development team takes note and reverts back to the original fit as there are other customers that have expressed the same thoughts. Cynically, it makes one wonder if a bean counter pitched a “data driven” algorithm that would justify less fabric for a better bottom line but resulted in bad news for the usability of the product.

Double colours
I dont know why Fjällräven use two different shades and colours on most pants, in my opinion it turns them visually into a cheap looking work pants. I wish there were more solid colours

Solid but flawed
Solid pants in fit and feel, loved them right up until they started falling apart. Unlike the unventilated version, the seat on the ventilated pants isn't actually reinforced, it's just a different color in the same weight of fabric. As a result, the seat wears out long before the rest of the pants. Likewise, the side vents are genuinely useful (if a little silly looking), but the zipper they chose is too small by half, so it failed after 18 months. Great design let down by a couple of cheaped out details in the seat and zipper. If I can get 4 years of hard work out of them instead of 2, they'd be worth the price tag.
