Why We Like The Garmin Tacx Direct Drive Freehub Body
When we need to adapt our Garmin Tacx direct drive trainer to work with a different cassette, or perhaps just need a replacement freehub, this freehub body is what we need. Pairing Campy cassettes with Campy drivetrains, and likewise, Shimano with Shimano and SRAM with SRAM ensures the best shifting performance. This is why we recommend keeping the cassette on your trainer consistent with the one that's already on your bike for the best overall experience. This freehub body works with the Neo and Flux series of trainers and features durable aluminum construction with a steel insert that helps prevent the cassette from notching up the freehub body.

New free hub solved all issues
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
We had 20,000 kms on our Tacx Neo 2 trainer. Suddenly shifting was impossible to set up, and the cassette seemed to wobble. Once the bike was removed from the trainer, further inspection resulted in the freehub and cassette falling out onto the floor. Installed new Shimano/Sram freehub, our trainers are as good as new. Phew! Ride on!

Know your axle size
The description on the website doesn’t have it quite correct, so know the axle size of the trainer and make sure you get the model you need. The different Campy models listed correspond with the different Garmin trainers they fit, not the year of the group.
