Warmth When You Need it Most.
Giro's mastery of creating well-thought out, highly functional cold-weather gear continues with the excellent Ambient II glove. We feel these cool-riding gloves do such a great job in the cold and wet, they could give a lot of ski gloves a run for their money.
Super Fit engineered 5-fingered design allows the gloves to fit well, like a glove. Reaching for the controls is unencumbered and bar feel is very impressive considering this glove packs so much warmth. The double wrap on the first two fingertips is a highlight we really appreciated. These two digits see more exposure to the cold air so it makes sense to give these guys a little more coverage without having to scale up the entire glove. The Polartec Windbloc is responsible for keeping the hands cozy and are perfect when the temps are between 35-45° Fahrenheit. Both the palm and the backhand are water resistant and keep hands dry short of a downpour.
Strategically placed gel padding continues the less-is-more mantra and added all day comfort sans bulk. Subtle reflective details keep aesthetics and visibility high. As we have come to expect from all Giro long-fingered gloves, the fingertips are touchscreen compatible.

Not warm enough.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I only ride when the weather is about 40 degrees or above. Even at these relatively mild temperatures, these gloves are not warm enough.

Winter Mtn Biking
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- XXL
- Height:

I normally wear size XL gloves, so I ordered these but they were too tight. I exchanged them for a pair of XXL but the fingers are still too tight. The finger diameter is not large enough and restricts the blood flow to my fingers a bit, which will have the opposite effect of keeping my hands warm. I'm disappointed since they seem like nice gloves otherwise. I returned the gloves and will need to try a different brand/style.
