Arc Short
There's a reason you're riding fifteen miles into the wild on a skinny dirt trail, and it's most likely to get away from annoying distractions of modern civilization. Helping you find your happy place without disturbance, the Giro Men's Arc Short opts for a clean, no-nonsense design that's purely focused on unencumbered comfort instead of flashy graphics and gimmicks.
Lightweight, tear-resistant ripstop fabric withstands the rigors of daily jaunts in the hills and rolling forests outside of town. Best of all, it's completely silent, so you can tune-out to the sound of birds chirping and tires rolling over trail impediments. For greater comfort on rainy rides and dewy mornings, the DWR finish repels outside moisture and flinging dirt from soaking through and staining this short.

I have a handful of bike shorts from Patagonia, Yeti, REI and these. Of them, these are my least favorite. The material is solid and seems like it will hold up well. It's also pretty stretchy so easy to ride it. The fit is a bit odd - they run bigger than other shorts I have (both bike and non-bike shorts), in terms of waste, hips, and length. They look a bit like shorts from 1996 in that regard. As well, the phone pocket is poorly placed. If you put your phone in it while riding it will restrict your pedal stroke and/or flop around on you. I have other shorts, such as the Patagonia Dirt Craft, which have a much better 3rd pocket design. I got these shorts on sale so it was probably worth it, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere before these.

Nice, basic short

Nice, basic short that can be used for riding or casual wearing. Belt loops are a plus as velcro adjusters just don't help with keeping shorts in place. Very thin/light weight material will be great during hot weather but prolly won't last if I take a digger or two (I try to stay upright as much as possible). Nice color, good fit (slim not baggy).
