Works great charged fast

A little on the heavy side compared to the PD version, however, it’s nice to have the AC feature if needed. Bought for a trip to Maine on a snow expedition. Worked great and kept everything charged for the three days. Having the ability to charge from solar really made the difference between choosing this or the lighter PD.

SHERPA 100 AC

The SHERPA 100AC is a very powerful and useful mobile power station. It is slim and compact enough to not take up too much room when space and weight are a concern. I have purchased several other Goal Zero products over past years and they are 1sr class in build, and longevity…all are still working very well.

Not to happy

For the price I paid for a bunch of batteries stuffed in a housing with a mini motherboard controlling batteries i would expect it to last a bit longer before having major issues such as shutting down when the battery reaches 40%

Excellent, very happy with my purchase

Excellent! Well made, super nice with the additional neoprene case. I live off grid and do not have electricity in my bathroom. I plug my water pick into the unit and it runs it great using up almost no battery power. Great unit.

Powerful, with great features— definitely worth it

I think this is a great unit— the screen with a “time to empty” display is super helpful, and it powers well and for a long time. Wish it were a little more obvious/simpler to set the 120 outlet to be “permanently on” or to have it be that way by default— I had a few “low draw” items where the unit switched off when I wanted/needed it to be going continuously.

Works GREAT

These battery packs work so great that I purchased three of them! Charges up fast and maintains charge for a long time. I power video and still photo equipment in the field with the packs as well as portable fans and lights.

Dead on Arrival

The LCD screen was dead on arrival. I'm very disappointed that some of the negative comments that I saw before I purchased this about the low degree of quality assurance turned out to be true. I'm going to reach out and see if I can get mine replaced, however I cannot recommend this to others at this time until they sort out the QA problems. I'm giving it two out of five stars because I like to imagine that they possibly do sell some good units that are reliable.

Needs improvement

I've gone through two of these units. The first unit the 100w USB c port stopped working less than 6 months. I exchanged for a new one. The second unit's display stopped working after 3 months. Both units were lightly used. I have the previous model that's over 5 years old and it still works great. I returned the second unit for a refund. This is the first goal zero product I've been disappointed in. I would give goal zero 5 stars for standing behind their product and replacing it while both unit had issues within the warranty period, but I won't be getting another until they release a new durable version of the Sherpa 100ac.

Great introduction to Goal Zero

Well designed and appears durable. Excellent power retention. The display is good and provides charge and discharge information. Easy to use and provides excellent power for back up and to charge a phone or computer.

Not as good as old 100AC

I bought this new version 100AC because my older version battery was only working to about 70% capacity. This new AC has been on a few trips and it seems to hold less power than the previous model. I also miss the cord organization in the sides of the old version. Both versions of the AC are big improvements over the OG Sherpa 50 with inverter.
