The Perfect Day Hiking Backpack
I bought this backpack for a girls week of hiking at Zion and Bryce national parks. We hiked all day everyday and I used this backpack for my water, lunches, snacks, and layers. It was perfect. It had of room for day hiking supplies and I loved the outside pouch for quick grab items. The backpack is very adjustable. My shoulders and back were never sore because the weight was distributed perfectly to my hips. I can’t recommend this backpack enough!

Many compliments
I received lots of compliments on this backpack. The color combination looks so beautiful. It's very comfortable. The front pockets hold my phone.

Love Gregory backpacks
I had another brand's backpack and the fit wasn't right and the placement of the water bladder pocket was just plain stupid. As expected, my new Gregory backpack fits just right with all the right pockets. I have a smaller one that I have been using for over 10 years.

Great Dayhike Pack
I got this pack on a coworker’s recommendation and I love it! I have already recommended it to several others. Holds all I need and more for dayhikes, whether 5 miles or 20 miles. Has great adjustability and the waist packs are super handy. Shoulder straps are comfortable. I do wish the inside zippered mesh pocket was a bit deeper to hold a few more items I want quicker access to and would also have liked a brighter color choice. Nonetheless it is a great pack!

Too big
I bought the Maya 20 to replace a Maya 18 I'd had for 10 years. Big, literally big, mistake. The new pack is 3 inches taller, 2 inches wider, and almost 2 inches deeper than the old one. The straps are wider and cut into my arms, even after adjusting the sternum strap. The hip belt is ginormous, 27-45 inches where the old pack fit 20-32 inches. Too bad there's no 18-20L in the kids sizes. I'm 5'6", 110 lbs, 17" torso.

Adjustable fit is spot on. Pockets not so much.
Love the fit! The adjustable torso length (with Velcro) is great. I was able to give myself a custom fit and it was like I didn’t have a pack on at all (weight was where it should be). 4 stars for the skimpy top pocket (barely fit three snacks, no room for a map) and the skimpy inside pocket. With the lack of pockets on the main pack, I also wish the expandable pocket had a tighter cinch closure. I was afraid to put anything small in there for fear of it falling out. The hole that you feed your bladder bite valve through could be a bit bigger too. I wish there had been bright colors. Felt kind of blah as opposed to my other 2 Gregory packs (raspberry and grape).

Amazing customer service!
I love my new Maya 20 backpack. It’s beautiful, well made, and oh so functional! I also recommend the hydro reservoir you can buy to go with it! Gregory Packs has the best customer service. They worked with me to resolve an issue on my end and the representative was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He resolved my issue in minutes! I would definitely buy from them in the future.

Perfect Fit!
Perfect fit, lightweight, love the color. Rests amazingly in my hips to help distribute the weight- perfect for quick day hikes- love it!!! For reference, I am 5’1 and 150lbs. Not skinny but not chunky, athletic build under some mom cushion lol

Great go-to pack!
I have this in Iris Red and love the color! (So tired of only blue & teal for women). The size is perfect for a day hike. I’m able to carry my essentials, food, hydration, puffy, fleece, shell and traction with tons of space left. I fill the outside stretchy pockets with bear spray, water bottle and sit pad. The hip belt pockets are huge and the shape is much improved over the previous Maya and carrie’s very comfortably. I have two disappointments/suggestions for improvement: 1. Add the sunglass stow (there is a spot to attach a satcom or plb on shoulder strap) 2. I almost always carry poles with me when I hike but for some reason, when attached to the pack, the poles lean over my shoulder, are in the way and very distracting as the pole handles are right by the side of my head, instead of carrying straight, as they do on my other Gregory packs. This pack really hits the sweet spot on size - definitely will be my go-to for most hikes.
