Solid picks, but...
I have the dark machines and north machines and really like the weight of the forged picks, but installation is a nightmare. The picks are so thick that you need to set aside some time and use a rubber mallet. Not a field job, but patience in a comfortable environment. Once the thick paint wears away they pop in. But not an easy job, and a little nerve wracking by pounding away for a fit. The non forged picks are easier, but aligning the shims is a pain.
