Why we Like The Halfdays Aston Jacket
Don't tell our bosses, but we like sneaking out for afternoon laps in the Halfdays Aston Jacket. This ski and snowboard jacket thrives at the resort thanks to the recycled polyester face fabric that handles light weather, the helmet-compatible hood that seals out wind gusts, and the cinched waist that helps set us apart from the crowd.

GORGEOUS outer layer that is equally functional.
I'm an experienced skier (that also loves beautiful garments - sue me), so it's often a struggle between fashionable and functional. You can tell it was designed by women FOR women. Every detail is well thought out: phone pocket with a lanyard, big enough waist pockets that won't make it impossible to sit on a lift with it full, a wrist pocket for your chapstick and pass. I am 5'9" and 130lbs and got a M at first in the deep green color (I have broad shoulders - true hourglass). While it is fine (both looks and fit), I could have definitely taken a S given the belt. It snatched my waist regardless, though! I got a S in Forget Me Not. If you think you're in between sizes, go with the smaller one. The jacket is stretchy enough in the right places. It's not the thickest jacket I've worn, but appreciate that as a Tahoe native skier. Would suggest a thicker wool base layer and a slim running jacket underneath for sub zero skiing.

Great jacket!
Absolutely love this jacket! The only reason I gave it a 4 was because the sleeve are ridiculously long.

Best Ski Jacket! No complaints!
I bought this jacket on sale at the end of last ski season and have finally gotten to use it. After six straight days of skiing (and falling!) I can finally speak to how much I LOVE it. First, it’s definitely the most flattering jacket I’ve ever put on. I adore the belt in the middle because it snatches your waist without it feeling tight or restrictive. The pockets are all SOA functional and it feels like everything you might need to take with you has its own designated spot. Finally, it’s warm and waterproof and I didn’t have a single issue with it in the snow. I love that the hood is detachable too for days that I don’t want to wear it. It is true to size— I’m usually an 8 or a Medium and the M fit perfectly. Overall I love this so much. I got it in the orange color at the time (no longer available) but I would seriously buy it again in any of the other colors. Could not recommend more!!

Garbage
My wife bought this jacket less than a year ago for skiing, and the glued seamed on all of the pockets failed after only a few uses. Supposedly the jacket has a 1 year warranty, but the store is telling us to go through their warranty department, and the warranty department is telling us to go through their store. Terrible experience all around.

Can't recommend enough
This jacket is everything you want in a ski jacket - warm, lightweight, durable, and super flattering. Halfdays really thought of all the bells and whistles with this product. The fit is perfect, and it keeps you warm without being bulky. The quality is top-notch - you can tell it’s built to last.
