Solid jacket with obnoxious branding

This jacket fits great, keeps me warm and acts as a great mid/external layer. The pockets, design, fit and style all suit me well. I love that I can tuck away the hood and it sort of has a popped color. The color is a true red with some very small hints of a neon green that you have to find, so not terribly distracting. I have to knock this down a star for the egregious labeling Helly Hansen has committed. There are FOUR logos spread through the chest and collar: 1) H/H on the Collar 2) H/H on the Shoulder 3) H/H on the sleeve by the elbow (you can't even see this in the photos) 4) "Helly Hansen" on the Inner lining, upper portion of the main zipper (so near your mouth) 1 -3 can be fixed with some black gore-tex sticky patches pretty easily. Don't forget this is made by HELLY HANSEN

Just what I was looking for

So far, I really like this jacket, which I bought to replace an old REI jacket that I’d had forever. It doesn’t really get very cold during the winter here in Portland, OR, but it is consistently damp, so it’s nice to find a jacket that’s water repellent and not too warm. So far, it has worked well. I’d prefer if the logos were less prominent and if it were maybe an inch or so longer.
