Why We Like The Hestra Alpine GORE-TEX Short Glove
Ready for adventures in the mountains, the Hestra Alpine GORE-TEX Short Mitten is one of our favorite gloves for mild-weather snow adventures. The GORE-TEX membrane ensures our hands stay dry and moisture-free while still being able to breathe, and the goat leather palm gives us a durable and supple palm grip for dexterity. The back of the hand fabric is made of FLEXTRON 4-way stretch recycled nylon fabric for freedom of movement and weather protection, and the glove is packed with Fiberfill synthetic insulation to keep our hands from freezing. Lastly, a brushed fleece interior adds extra comfort, and the neoprene cuff and hook-and-loop closure work together to keep out the snow.

Nice Gloves...could be better though
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 10
The gloves are nice and seem to be made with quality materials. The good: they are warm, keep the wind out and fit the hand and wrist well. I wouldn't say they are good for below zero days but are good to use for being outside for shorter durations, shoveling snow etc. The things that could be improved would be the leather on the palm is only on the surface, it doesn't go in between the fingers which I can see being an issue. The fingers are long on the glove (at least for me) reducing the dexterity of the glove, I would say about 3/4 inch long. They don't have a touch screen capability which I knew going in but I wouldn't buy another pair again that doesn't have that feature. I'm not sure about longevity since I have only had them a month but it goes seem like the pointer finger is wearing down the insulation and is not holding up like the other fingers. Overall, I wouldn't buy these again. I would probably opt for the Hestra Omni or the Fall Line even though they don't have the touchscreen or look at something from Black Diamond.
