Why We Like The HOKA Challenger ATR 7 GTX Running Shoe
Made for all-terrain running (ATR), the HOKA Challenger 7 GTX is a versatile shoe that we can take to the road or the trail. This shoe's outsoles feature Durabrasion rubber with 4mm lugs to both stand up to the sanding effects of running on pavement and dig into the trail for sidewalk to summit traction. This version of the Challenger is lighter than the last iteration, features durable and breathable GORE-TEX waterproofing for all-weather runs, and—like all HOKAs—places maximum cushioning under our feet to cushion each step on the street, sidewalk, and single track.

A good shoe
I love the vibrant colors on these shoes. I had to switch out the laces to Lock Laces so they stay tight all day and can't come untied. I am a professional caddie so I'm walking in dew most mornings and these shoes keep most of the moisture out.

Just super
Got these for my trip to Ireland and they were awesome. They're snugger in the toe area than my Bondis (more like my Clifton's) and I feared discomfort but it wasn't there. Solid on loose rocky terrain. Repelled what little water I encountered. Comfortable all day long. A traveler from the States wearing Bondis asked me about them on the streets of Dingle and I gave him the thumbs up.

Challenger 7 GTX seems to be Challenged.
First time Hoka buyer of this model in Men's and one for Woman's for my girlfriend. I've worn New Balance for 20+ years and my GF has worn Brooks for 10+ years. We decided to try this model on to see what the hype was all about. Initially, we loved them instantly! I occasionally wear them to work in a medical setting and my GF wore it daily while bartending. We both liked the fit, color we chose, being Goretex and being comfortable. After 10 months, my Challenger 7 GTX started to tear on top of the shoe, in the crease where I flex my toes. Her's started to do the same in 5 months plus her treaded soles started to come apart!! We haven't even worn them in a rugged trail. It's upsetting because we hoped it would last longer. I reached out to Customer support and we are returning them for a refund and and exchange for my GF. Crossing our fingers that her exchange of the same shoe will be a better experience. The did not have mine in stock anymore. This review would not allow me to post any photos I took to show you how they aren't holding up as they should. I really liked the pair I had too.

Great shoe.... but does not last.
I will say I loved the shoe. But the treads were bare and coming off shortly after getting them. I will also say that they were exchanged for a new pair and have a great policy for returns if you have issues. As we all know, companies can sometimes change that policy andwhere would I be if that happened. 180 down the drain if that happens.

Holes on the tops after less tha 7 months
These developed creases on top after a few days. After 6 months holes started to develop at the edge of the crease. They are no longer waterproof.

Sneekers squeek
Sneekers squeek especially when walking on hard surfaces. Very disappointed. How can this be fixed because I don't want to wear them?
