I would buy this again

Perhaps this shoes fits my feet very well, but I'm not getting the blister problems everyone else is talking about. I've been running in this shoe for the last 3 weeks and had zero issues with the fit. It is a very comfortable shoe in my opinion, and the springy cushioning has been fantastic. Yesterday I did a 20 mile run and no issues. I plan on buying this shoe again once I've racked up the mileage on these which will be pretty soon.

Nips at the heels

These are everything I wanted the Cielo X1 to be in a wide. Super comfortable and supportive throughout. I use my cielos on daily walks with my dog. If they came in a wide, they would be the perfect shoe. The Mach X2 was the answer, with one huge exception. They dig into the back of my heels. Blisters within a quarter mile first go. Tried again and I had to finish the walk sans shoes. Returning them, though we tried!

Bad heel collar

I like Hoka so much, I have the Cielo X2 and the Rocket X2 for my long runs, tempos and races, for my easy runs I use the Bondi 8, to change my Bondi 8 I chose the new Mach X2, I like the feeling when you run but after just 3 or 4 miles I have a bad blister on my left heel, just return it

Poor heel structure, blisters on the first run,

I bought my pairs last week and after my first running session I got blisters on both heels. First time this has happened to me in more than 5 consecutive years running. Well, of course I am very disappointed and have to return the product. However, I can highlight the shoe's stability, breathability and cushioning, in that order.

Amazing shoe but the heel is awful

I can NOT wear this shoe without putting something on my heel because it will shred it. This is the worst heel counter in a shoe that I have ever had. I read reviews saying the heel was bad but I didn't realize it was going to be like a cheese grater on my skin. I love everything else about the shoe but it is almost unwearable because of the heel.

Worst HOKA running shoe I ever owned

I've been using the Mach X and the Rocket X 2 with great succes, so I was excited to try my new Mach X 2. Unfortunately these are the worst pair of running shoes I have ever tried. Blisters on both heels after a few miles of my forst run. Waste of money and it makes me want to change to another shoe brand. How can you release a shoe like this where 80% of all users are having problems with blisters.

Painful, Bloody Heel Blisters

I thought I would try these out even with reviews- and they were right sadly. Not even a mile for me my heels were bleeding, and I would've had to limp home had I not phoned my friend. I am just so sad because I needed these shoes to work so bad. There aren't any carbon plated wide foot shoes, with the ones that do exist still being too narrow or too low in the toe box (magic speed 4, new balance v3). The mach x2's fit perfectly even for my wide feet however, but the heels for some reason were left unfinished. Who in there right mind would actually manufacture something with a self destruct button like this? I think a mass recall should be in order and the shoe should be finished before releasing. Ouch, ouch, ouch.

Need to rethink

Love Hoka. Really have a hard time wondering how these shoes got past testing. Like so many have said, heel fit is no good. Blistered in my first mile. Sent them back. Wait for improvements in this model, or just skip altogether...as maybe this model should never have been.

Wanted to love them but ouch!

Blisters the size of quarters on the heels of both feet just like many are reporting. Two runs and I am forced to return/exchange them. Gonna have to utilize my Carbon X2's a while longer.

I would buy this model again but I'd love some changes

This is my 4th Hoka shoe. I used Carbon X3, Challenger ATR 7GTX and my favorite Cielo X1. I bought the Mach X2 as it is a cross between Cielo X1 and the Mach series. I feel that the shoe is lighter than Cielo X1, feels great, not as bouncy as Cielo X1 but for me it's perfect. The one thing that Needs improvement is the heel collar. That part has been fighting back and after an 11mile run I ended up with bloody heels. I also feel that the upper could have been at least 10mm taller in the ankle / heel area. Having previously used the Cielo X1 (1,350K), on the Mach X2 the heel counter is a swing and a miss. It just doesn't function well. I had heel lift in the shoe, but when you were running it didn't bother me (maybe because the rubbing distracted me more), but it was noticeable. Using a runner's loop won't help much either.
