Disappointed
I looove Hokas so much ! I have achilles tendon and Hokas are the only pair of shoes that don't hurt my feet at all! They never disappoint, not sure what happened to this model but it literally triggers my achilles tendon right away not sure why! I returned them immediately. Also they do run small so I would size up. I'm always a size 9 I had to get a 9 1/2 for this particular pair

So sad. The previous version was amazing! These are no good
I loved the Rincon 3 so much but couldn't find them when I wanted another pair. Tried these but they are nothing like what I love about the Rincon 3. I have 3 pairs of the Rincon 3 and am just hoping that they will bring back the 3 before I wear these out, because I will definitely not be buying the 4 again.

Nothing like the Rincon 3
I was hoping these would be very similar to my Rincon 3. They've changed so much from the 3. The back of the shoe is different which causes the shoe to rub and cause blisters on my heel. My feet were hurting after the first day and I never had that problem with my Rincon 3s. Hoping they come back with the 3s. I ended up returning these

Disappointed
This shoe is a big miss. I'm a loyal Hoka owner and always loved their selection of wides and that they truly are wide shoes with ample room in the toe box which is not easy to come by. I LOVED my rincon 3s and they helped me heal my plantar fasciitis and get back on my feet after a calf surgery... but the soles always wore faster than expected. So I was excited to hear that Hoka "fixed" and "improved" the sole with the Rincon 4. I've waiting just under two months to write this review so I could really test out the rincon 4 and here is my take: -the sole is stiffer and firmer in feel BUT still wore out way faster than expected (or it should) The sole is almost shot after almost two months of moderate wear. -narrower and smaller than the previous version. Sized up a half size for the Rincon 4 and the width is still only OK. -not nearly as comfortable is prior version. -the tongue is just awkward and gets in the way when lacing up the shoe. I switched from the Bondi to the Rincon after the Bondi disappointed and now the Rincon disappoints too. It feels like I am starting to detect a theme with Hoka which is too bad because they really are the best wide running shoe provider.

Would NOT buy again!
I loved my Rincon 3s. Bought Rincon 4 and it's a totally different shoe and not in a good way! Not as flexible as the 3 and the toe box feels tight as does the fit in general. Why did you change the style? Why are there no non slip patterns on the sole as with the 3? Why did you remove the pull tab to help get the shoe on. Overall I think it's cheaply made. Please go back to Rincon 3 style and features!

Not what I expected!
This shoe is not comfortable it hurt my feet so bad. I would return them but I already wore them twice thinking they needed to be broken in, not the case. The shoe seems very short like not enough room in the toe box. I ordered 8 1/2 wide. Not comfortable at all. Very expensive to not be able to wear.

Made new version smaller
I have many pairs of Rincon 3 and the new version runs smaller. Very frustrating!!!! Shoes feels great except need to size up half of a size.

First time disappointed by a Rincon...
I've run in Hokas for three years now, always in the Rincon. (I run 5-7 days a week, usually on the road, and 3-10 miles at a time.) Rincon 3s were maybe my favorite running shoes ever. While my Hokas always cost more and wear out faster than my Brooks, the comfort seemed to make them worth it. As you can imagine, I'm really disappointed to report that the Rincon 4s, which I've run in a total of FOUR times in the past week will be the part pair of Hokas that I will buy. In general, the shoe just feels generally worse with weird design choices. I don't understand the decision to put padding in the tongue and the lacing system seems to have been slightly alerted so that there's now a gap that bunches up on the outside of my foot (NEVER had that issue before). The locker, however, is the bottom of the shoe. The tread is already much smoother and slicker - I can't imagine running on damp asphalt in these - and in just FOUR runs, what little tread there is is already rubbing off to become just smooth, slippery foam. It's ridiculous to pay over $100 for a pair of running shoes and to have them degrade this fast. I'll be lucky if I make them last three months. Honestly there is better quality abs design to be had elsewhere. I read the other reviews complaining that the Rincon 4s aren't great but I trusted in Hokas in general to assume those flaws must be exaggerated. I never write reviews but came in here just to help others avoid this same mistake. The Rincon 4s aren't worth it, even if you get them on sale. I loved Hokas when i first bought them... but now it's time to look elsewhere for a show that's going to make my daily runs with me.
