This footwear is of exceptional quality.
I'm not hiking or running with them. I'm chasing middle school kids all day! ♀️♂️ As a SPED teacher on my feet all day, these saved my feet! #teacherlife #spedteacher #feetrelief

Super comfortable!
I have issues with the ball of my right foot and high arches. I am super pleased with the comfort of the SG6. Logged about 15 miles in 2 days on pavement. This weekend will try them off road. I'm looking forward to it.

Worst version of speedgoat mid gtx.
Velcro in place of ankle pads . Can't lace up tight due to the new configuration .i hated them as soon as i put them on. Speedgoat 2 is the GOAT! Turn back the clock!

Speedboat GTX mid
Ordered a size 10. But no where near size ten like my previous models of Hoka shoes. Also, Were these a product return from another customer?

Too firm
Took them on an 80 mile hike in Silverton and wow was I disappointed. I've bought dozens of speedgoats over the years. The insole is paper thin, it's almost non-existent. Felt like walking on concrete. I've never my entire life had pain in the arch of my foot, but these shoes crushed them. Highly recommend getting something else.

Good in theory, poor execution.
Ordered a pair for an upcoming cold weather/rainy season trip. The SG6, as many others have noted, is a totally different shoe than the SG5, with a much firmer midsole; I knew that going in. The issue with these is the placement of the laces; they are entirely too low for a mid-height shoe. The last eyelet is at below-ankle height, which is (I'm sure) the eyelet height of the SG6 lows. The neoprene booty (which Velcros into place) is flimsy and offers no additional support. Thus, the shoe wears like a low top with an extra incongruous piece of material attached; it's as if they just slapped the neoprene booty on the SG6 low and called it a day. The pictures make the shoe look like it ties higher up on the foot/ankle, but due to the stack height, that's not the case. Depending on your foot shape, you might require a half size smaller.

Wow what a shoe! Hoka are real pros
Genius of design, with a band to lock out any pebbles and debris, plus Goretex and the most incredible soles and overall fit. Hoka is crushing the competition. They used to make bouncy / over-cushioned shoes, but now offer a huge variety of Hiking shoes and carbon plate soles as well. The Vibram sole waterproof, sturdy layer is a true game-changer. I will never buy a pair of On Running again. No comparison

Perfect fit!
I thought the soft mid would be weird but I absolutely love it. I wear a 13 and my feet splay pretty wide naturally. These fit my feet perfectly and the soft mid actually helped lock my heel into place. I usually have heel slip issues with Hokas but these are a 10/10 for me. Side Note: Also, tried the standard SG 6's and they fit completely different. The SG 6's squeezed the living daylights out of my feet. Not sure if that's how they are designed to fit or if there are some QC issues. Nonetheless, I'm still content with my Mid versions.

Honestly Heartbreaking Design Changes
I have been looking forward to the Speedgoat Mid redesign for two year now and I can honestly say this is so disappointing! Neoprene? And Velcro?! No apparent actual ankle support...why?
