Why We Like The HOKA Trail Code GTX Hiking Boot
HOKA's newest hiking boot, the Trail Code GTX helps us tread more lightly on the trail and on the planet with its lightweight build and extensive use of recycled materials. The Trail Code is max cushioned like other HOKA hiking boots while having a more sneaker-like build than the Anacapa and using a new foam that's both responsive and super-cushy to both hold up to hiking and keep our hiking feet content. Weighing less than two pounds per pair, this light hiker doesn't slow us down, but it's still stacked with premium technologies, including durable and breathable GORE-TEX waterproofing and Vibram Megagrip outsoles for premium dry and wet traction.

Not worth the money
I purchased these as someone that plays a lot of disc golf and spends a lot of time in the woods. This holes are very cheap and do not hold up. I sent my first pair back after 3 months, only to get my second pair and them only last a month. The souls come unglued on the edges. They need to be a solid soul to last for a while. The shoes themselves are very comfortable they just don't last.

Great for everyday walking
I work for the post office and walk easily 9 miles a day. These have been a game changer and at the end of my shifts, my feet are never in pain. I do recommend sizing up at at least half a size to fit the normal length and they are slightly narrow so if you'd like a little bit of wet as well, you might want to go with a full-size.

Comfortable.
I'm still breaking them in while in the house but I can already tell that they are comfortable, fit well on my size 12 (sometimes wide) feet (these are a 12 regular), and absorb plenty of shock.

I will buy again
I know that they are hiking shoes, but, they are great on concrete floors at 10 hours a day as well.

2nd Chance
Trail Code GTX- After my ankle surgery and toe box on the Accuna just didn't work for me. So, I ordered the Trail Code GTX and some adjustment things are going good. Wearing them daily. Better fit.

Uncomfortable heel and fit.
The plastic on the heel was digging into my heel with every step. I returned the shoes.

Really liked these
Bought these in advance of a 3-day backpacking trip in the Sierras. Did not break them in in advance, they felt great and worked well, with good traction and support. Would recommend.

Don't buy
Very comfortable shoe. If you are going to use it for everyday use then yes buy it. But for hiking do not they will fall apart. I had them for 3 weeks went on like 2 hikes and after that the sole was ripping off from the shoe. It's shameful that it is labeled a hiking shoe but the quality and durability was awful.

Easy return process
It looks like this review won't allow me to post a Pic, but they arrived with noticeable creases in the toe area. I wore them 1 time and the creases got worse. I notified Hoka and their return and refund went very smooth.
