NUTRITION!!! Made simple with Hydrapak.
These little soft flasks are great! Used them for a 50k recently to hold pickle juice and mashed potatoes. The 150 ml and 250 ml flask caps have different valves included with them, I am glad I bought a 2 pack of each size so I can interchange the caps for different sized flasks as needed. One has a open hole about 10mm ish wide that is perfect for eating real food, potatoes, applesauce, gel, etc. The other has a squeeze valve cap similar to a bike bottle that is more appropriate for liquids. I cant remember which came with which size though. It would be helpful if @hydrapak included photos of the valves as that was a sort of surprise to me when they arrived. But, I love them!! They are perfect!

This is what you need for gels on long runs
The Feed sells branded versions of this same flask in the 150ml size, but the 250ml size is clutch if you need a lot of gel for a long run or ultra race. I fill these with liquidy gels like SIS and bring one or two along for long runs, the rest go in drop bags for races. Avoids the hassle of having to rip open gels and stash the sticky trash. Pop top works great and keeps everything clean. So convenient and reusable. Love it!

Smells like plastic
The bottle smells like plastic, which makes me concerned that I am ingesting harmful chemicals when I drink from it.

Gold For Big AS Gaps!
These are simply brilliant to add on for big race sections with several hourse between aid stations in the heat. As I had hoped, they fit in the side pockets of my Nathan hydration pack; so I can use them on the fly without stopping. Perfect comfort against the body. But otherwise would be perfect to stash in the main compartment or you could even secure them to your body via a waist pack belt, which I also trialed successfully. Even 1 would be a nice boost, but two, or 17oz, is really a nice insurance policy to add on to your main hydration plan and easily could be the difference between a DNF or not; or more importantly between feeling good vs. getting dangerously dry. LOVE the flip cap to keep the nozzle clean. Great flow and zero leakage even with squeezing it. Should last forever but I stocked up on these.

More goo, less plastic
I’ve used 250 ml SoftFlask for two longer (4+ hour) rides and it’s performed flawlessly, with no leaks. I’ve found it to actually be cleaner and more efficient than toting around a pocket full of single use plastic packaged gels and their sticky empties.
