Why We Like The Hydro Flask 40oz Wide Mouth Trail LW Flex Cap Water Bottle
The Hydro Flask 40oz Wide Mouth Trail LW Flex Cap Water Bottle sheds 20% of the weight of other bottles in its class yet retains all the benefits of a stainless-steel construction. The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps contents cold for 24 hours or hot for 12 hours, while the pro-grade steel holds up against rugged terrain and doesn't transfer any flavor to our bevvy, giving us perfectly crisp sips of H20 on the go.

Needs a cap with a straw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need a cap with a straw that is long enough for this new design, I dont see one online that I can buy.

Favorite One
I love this bottle! I am field sales and spend my day in the car driving long distances. After learning how much water I should be consuming I bought one of these for the volume. It fits one of my cup holders in the car which turns out is pretty important for what I need. I add electrolytes, magnesium and creatine and no issues with interior degradation. Its lightweight for the size so easier to carry to the car and maneuver when driving. I added the twist top (which I also love because it fully disassembles for cleaning) which is important because the water runs fast towards you and I was dousing myself on a regular. I'm seriously considering a second one to replace another Hydroflask that doesn't fit the cup holder and is more of a hassle to manage when driving. There is no boot option but thats ok for me and if you were to stuff it in a sack for hiking you'd regret having a sticky boot.

Won’t buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never dropped…. Within the first couple months insulation failed. Had to return on my dime which was about a third of the cost.

Trail Series
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The "Lightweight" feature is awesome when every oz. counts, on long hikes or backpacking.

Straw is too short
It’s a big fail that Hydroflask couldn’t produce a straw that is suitable for this taller container. They put marketing spin this fail saying that when you can’t get anything more, it’s just a sign to refill. That’s absurd. Make a longer straw. Offer it free to owners of this product.

Beautiful.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Color is beautiful, gives slytherin vibes. Slight gloss/shimmer. Hence the color name.. hahaha!! Got it for my husband for everyday use/school. Definitely lightweight. Still a bit heavy of course when you add ice and water but feels light. Definitely slim enough to get in the side water pocket of a north face backpack. (not sure about other backpacks) Other Wide mouth tops fit, but not their booties for the bottle ones; so if your wanting a bootie for this; like mentioned in the description get the trail series bootie. The regular won’t fit this one.

Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size and color, but the water DOES NOT stay cold like the original. I have probably a minimum of 20 different Flasks and containers...this truly disappointed!

Poor Quality – Corroded with Brown Spots in Just 3 Months
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially excited about this water bottle due to its sleek design and promises of durability, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. After just three months of use, the base of the bottle developed unsightly brown spots, which seem to be corrosion. I only used it for water, so there’s no reason it should have deteriorated this quickly and I’m concerned about the safety of drinking from it. For a bottle advertised as durable, this is a huge letdown. It’s not worth the money if it starts degrading this quickly. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a long-lasting water bottle.

Insulation doesnt work.
These bottles are not the same quality as the regular flasks. My bottle got cold so i warrantied it. I got my new one about a month ago and its doing the same thing. The insulation is broken. I also bought there regular bottle a while ago and it has zero issues. Stay away from the trail series.
