A few dealbreakers.
First off, I truly appreciated Icebreaker's effort in making this jacket. There are so few sport jackets that use wool as an insulating material, much less that try and use natural materials like cotton and TENCEL. I was impressed with the ripstop cotton material used in the shell. The TENCEL lining does the job as a bio-based material. It's not as slick as polyester, typically used in sleeves for easy movement in and out. The TENCEL seems to be somewhere between cotton and polyester lining in the sleeves and terms of friction. I could slide my arm in while wearing a heavyweight merino hoodie without having to clench the cuff in my hand as one might do with a cotton sleeve. If you value the effort to have a more bio-based/natural jacket, this shouldn't be an issue. The fit in the body, shoulders, and hood were all spot on. The dealbreakers are as follows. I don't know if I got a dud, but the cuffs on my jacket were significantly larger than my bare wrists. I even tried my noted hoodie under it with the thumb holes used and there were still significant air gaps between the cuffs and the material from the hoodie. Simply put, if I have to stitch the cuffs to get a jacket at this cost to be functional, it's going back. While the storm flap affords some chin protection at the top of the zipper, I'm always appreciative of a dedicated chin/beard protector. It'd be great to have an interior chest pocket as well as an ability to cinch up the hem at the waist, if needed. I'm a fan of warmth, so beyond what has been offered, I might suggest more insulation, though I understand that this is a jacket more likely geared toward active use.

One of Icebreakers best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Ice Breaker jackets. This is another excellent product, it is very warm and keeps you dry in all conditions. The pockets are exceptionally deep and provide ample space for gloves and other items. It has become my go to jacket for early morning walk when the temperature is the coldest.

My husband lives in this jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket was a gift to my husband who routinely wears it as his last layer in our mild southern Maryland winters. He has shed at least one other layer because this jacket is so uniquely warm

Wanted to really like this jacket. Big fan of icebreaker. I love merino wool for warmth. A bit thinner than I expected. Planned to use as a winter mid layer but didn't think it would be enough for a Michigan winter. Cuffs are wide open with no Velcro adjustment.

Excellent Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and yet warmer than the heavier jackets that I have bought in the past from other companies. I purchased this hoping that it wouldn't add too much weight to my suitcase for my adventures abroad. Happy to report that it worked out great! Strongly recommend!
