Reversible Pocket 200 Beanie

the best little beanie in the world

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is the warmest pocket hat for the weight and easily stuffs in my down sweater pocket. I'm never without it, fits underneath my bike helmet and covers my ears (critical in Colorado mountain windchill) I had one for many years and decided to finally replace it (it wasn't worn out, just stained) This new color fits the bill, just the right amount of warmth and definately worth the money twice over.

TAGS Galore!

My mom wanted a brown cap, but why in the world do you design a reversible hat with tags that are NOT removable?? I have had to glue the seam in the past after getting frustrated and cutting it open.

Great beanie aside from the tags

Great beanie; it fits well and the merino is super soft. The reason for the three stars is that I wanted to wear the orange side out but there are several tags. I attempted to carefully cut them off with scissors but accidentally cut a tiny bit of fabric. Icebreaker, please stop put tags on everything... shirts included!! They drive me nuts and almost invariably I cause some sort of damage to the garment when trying to remove them.

Very warm and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several of the 200 and Tencel Icebreaker beanies for using when running and cycling and wanted something a bit thicker for when I'm just walking around outside or for general use. Sizing is good.

Why?

Reversible? How? Good luck removing the tags from the 'inside'. Love the hat, but will never buy again. It's not reversible without damaging the hat to remove labels.

simple beanie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice style-simple and straightforward. Fits perfectly and is thin enough to wear under another hat or a bike helmet. I envision myself wearing this hat every day once it gets cold here in Chicago.

No longer reversible

I own a black and grey version of this hat and love it. It looks great and fits in my jacket pocket. I just bought and returned the navy one. The had has a bunch of tags inside on the navy side (the side I want). I called Icebreaker and they said to cut them out. That would not work because all the stubs would show. I tried undoing the threads that held the labels, but that resulted in a hole in the hat seam. Sent hat back. Very discouraging because this used to be a great hat (with only a tiny label on its rim).

Product image incorrect - beanie has visible grey lining

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Icebreaker has changed all their beanies. The photo on the item clearly shows a black brim (this is an old version of the beanie). The hat that I received has a grey brim. I've been buying this product for over a decade and there's no change I'll buy it again. Reported this to Icebreaker customer support but they were indifferent. Icebreaker was once a great company. It's been going downhill ever since the VF acquisition.
