E-Pact Elbow Pad
While it's never a desired side affect, when we're getting a little rowdy through hand-built sections of rooty and rock-laden DH trail, catching the occasional elbow to a tree is hard to avoid — that's why Ion crafts the E-Pact Elbow Pads. These pre-shaped pads keep your arms in a comfortably bent position — because nobody's a fan of riding downhill with locked elbows. They are crafted from HD memory foam to soak up impact, and topped with a hardcap to take the brunt of hits. To let your skin breathe, Ion employs a perforated neoprene in the main body to let air work its way in through channels, while a Power Aramid upper fabric prevents bushes and branches from ripping through.

Bulky
- Size Bought:
- L/M
- Height:
- 5' 4"
- Weight:
- 140
First of all, I sized up based on previous reviews and had to exchange it for my size on the actual size chart. True to size! However, once I got the correct size, I just felt they were overall too bulky. They stick out awkwardly, especially under a shirt—what few shirts would even fit over. I've had better so I'll go back to what I know.

Good Elbow pad for protection; size up
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
This elbow pad has a lot of protection and is lite weight. I would probably buy a size-up from what the measurements state for sizing. This elbow pad has quite a bit of elastic built in it already, so elbow pad won't slip off at all. However, it was pretty snug getting on my elbow, I ordered a Medium; I was 11.8 inches above elbow & 8 inches below the elbow (which is close to end of M-sizing). A large would have worked better, especially for when I get sweaty - to get it off / on. I clicked 'Runs small' on the product fit, it's true to size, however I think it would be best to size up. My biceps are weak, can't imagine someone with muscles lol... def size up~. (I'm going to exchange mine, but hopefully this review helps someone so they don't have to buy / exchange)

Excellent fit at a great price point
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- XL
- Weight:
- 220
Both elbow and knee pads fit comfortably on long rides. Not too hot at 85 degrees on the trail. Less pinching up or down than cheaper pads I have owned. Adjustment bands were not digging in through the pad at all.
