In contrast, the Center Lock system utilizes a central locking mechanism for easier installation and removal, typically requiring a special tool. If you frequently change wheels or prefer quick adjustments, a Center Lock system may be more convenient, while ISO 6-bolt is widely compatible with many bikes.

For mountain biking, sintered brake pads are often recommended due to their durability and strong stopping power in challenging conditions. They perform well in wet environments and provide consistent braking performance on steep descents. It is generally not recommended to mix different types of brake pads (sintered, semi-metallic, organic) on the same bike, as they can have varying performance characteristics and may lead to inconsistent braking. For optimal performance and safety, it's best to use the same type of brake pads on both the front and rear of your bike.
