Why We Like The CrunchIt Fuel Canister Recycling Tool
Before tossing our spent butane canisters, we use the CrunchIt Fuel Canister Recycling Tool to depressurize them, making them recyclable and thus reducing our impact on the planet. This compact tool safely vents fuel prior to puncturing with the can-opener-style tooth. We clip it to our pack with a carabiner to have it always at the ready.

Convenient tool
Convenient, but not necessary. Easy enough to punch holes in a cannister, but sure way to not get hurt doing.

recycle fuel cans
I bought this a month ago and am so glad I did I probably had about 15-20 empty fuel cans I had no idea what to do with them the metal recyclers wouldn't take them because they still comtained small amounts of fuel. I saw this crunchit tool while searching for a jetboil flash and thought YES!!! just what I need it was very easy to use screw it on and it will release the remaining fuel DO THIS OUTSIDE then just step on the end and it will punch a hole in the empty can I put two holes in mine now the recycling center takes the cans and the metal is recycled
