Cooking at Sea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting one of these since seeing them used by the skippers in the Vendee Globe Ocean Race. Paired it up with the Hanging Kit to use on my sailboat. Perfect system for cooking while anchored in rolling waters.

New Upgrades
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Man the upgrades are just what the flash needed. I have been using my flash since 2015 and have had to change the spark mechanism a few times and that’s the only issues I’ve ever had. This new design should eliminate those issues.

10/10 Would Boil Again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JetBoil gave me this free product to try (don't worry, I'm keeping it real!), and let me tell you-it's been an absolute game-changer. I've dragged this thing from sea to summit and everywhere in between, and it just keeps proving itself. First off, it's stupid lightweight and packs down small, which means I can stuff it into my already overstuffed pack with no problem. But don't let its size fool you-it boils water wicked fast. After a long morning of shredding, I ran to my car for a quick lunch break (because fresh tracks wait for no one), and in under 2.5 minutes, I had a steaming bowl of ramen in my hands. I did have to toss in some snow so I didn't melt my taste buds off. Even with frozen fingers, I could easily set it up and fire it up. Cleanup? A quick swish of snow and boom-good as new. I've also taken it on trail rides for quick coffee breaks, to the beach for hot cocoa, and deep into the backcountry where a warm meal is the difference between thriving and just surviving. The twist-button igniter is a lifesaver (no match-fumbling required), the FluxRing tech makes sure you're not wasting fuel, and the stabilizer keeps it sturdy even on uneven ground. I even tested it on a sideways slope just to see what would happen, and guess what? It still crushed it. If you're out adventuring and need something fast, reliable, and packable, this is the one. If you love adventure, hate waiting, and enjoy hot food in questionable locations, this is for you. JetBoil nailed it. 10/10, would boil again.

Next Gen Flash
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have spent many of hours cooking with the old generation Flash system. Traveling all across the country from Utah to Alaska and back and would never start a trip without it. Upon receiving the new Flash V2 system from Jetboil, it's safe to say my old Flash will be seeing retirement. I've spent the last few weeks testing this system in the Utah mountains while on backcountry skiing adventures. The new Flash features a massively improved fuel regulator and ignition system. If you're familiar with the previous model flash, it features a wire handle that folds from underneath the burner, then turn to open the fuel valve. This worked well and is very light, but I was always very cautious because in the back of my mind I saw this as a weak point and could easily break. This new Flash system features a knob style regulator with a built in igniter. Amazing. Simply attach your fuel turn the knob to begin the flow of fuel, then turn a little further and listen for the click of the igniter, boom you're cooking. This new fuel regulator and ignition is so much more intuitive, less likely to break, and provides a significant peace of mine as I no longer have to worry about the wire style handle breaking off or bending when things go south. I would highly recommend this new gen flash to anyone who tends to be a little rougher on their equipment, or if you're clumsy, as I see this new system as bulletproof.

Flash 1.0 trial
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been blown away by almost every aspect of this stove. To get it right out there, Jetboil sent me this stove to test but that doesn't mean I won't stay objective and honest. Functionality is fantastic...i burned 3 canisters of fuel (on #4) throughout all my use/testing and there were maybe 3-4 times the flame didn't light first try and a quick second try did the trick. All parts screwed on, fit together, and eventually packed down within the cooking pot like a dream. The packaging says it will boil water in 120 seconds which is true but I was only able to get that fast boil time using 1c of water. If you're boiling 2c or pushing the limits/overfilling, it took me about 180 seconds on average. Still lightning fast if you ask me. I use it almost every day at my shop making coffee and every time I go outdoors for any adventure my Jetboil is coming with!

Jetboil Flash Redesign
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Jetboil stoves for my camping and hunting meals for 20 years. In that time I've owned several other brands of stoves as well, comparing, contrasting and trying to find the best one possible. I've used them everywhere from hiking in the blistering heat of the deserts of southern Utah, to heating my tent while hunting caribou in northern Alaska. In the end I always come back to the Jetboil brand for ease of use and reliability. Recently Jetboil gave me this free product to try. I used this new model several days while hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling and hiking in sub freezing temperatures. I boiled water for dehydrated meals, warmed up leftovers, and made hot chocolate for my teenage daughter while she hunted for elk. I would recommend the jetboil to everyone who spends any amount of time outside and has a need for a lightweight, compact, efficient stove. In this newer model, the stove itself is much slimmer and better designed than the old one. I find it much easier to light with the new supported piezo ignition system. I love the new adjustment knob, which doubles as the lighter and fuel adjustment. It's very simple and allows you to dial it all the way down to a low simmer for warming. Also impressive was the new design of the leg stand. It now clips firmly into the top of the stove for storage. No more rattling! I conducted several tests with new fuel canisters and found that the new burner is 30 seconds faster which equates to between 22%-25% faster than my older model Jetboil Flash. One thing I have never liked is the pour spout on the lid. I find the design difficult to drink out of and usually end up spilling down the front of my shirt. I did notice that the strainer holes on the lid have been redesigned into a more usable configuration, so I usually used that to drink straight from the warming mug. Also, the fit of the lid is very shallow, allowing it to come off easily, especially in transport or while riding in my backpack. To remedy this in the past I've tied a small length of micro diameter paracord to it to prevent me from losing it. I would love to see a more secure fit on the lid as well as the plastic cup on the bottom. I will also really miss the spork holder that was sewn into the neoprene liner on older models. It's very close to perfect but still has room for these improvements. Overall, I think the resigned stove body is a great direction for the future of the Jetboil Flash stove and I appreciate the chance to test and review this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Jetboil products for several years on all kinds of outdoor adventures such as hunting, backpacking, car camping, snow shoeing, bonfires, cross country skiing, snow camping, and more. I was excited to try out the Jetboil Flash this winter and share my findings when comparing this model to my previous models of Jetboil. Pros: The updated burner includes a combined fuel knob and starter in the same component, making it much easier to light than previous models. In my experience, the starter (lighter) was the first thing to stop working, meaning I had to carry a lighter or matches with the stove. The new starter worked consistently well. The burner segment sits more securely on the gas canister threads and it appears much less wobbly or likely to damage either the burner or the can. The easy grip on the burner makes it much easier to remove it from the stove without burning your fingers. The burner section also fits better inside the stove since it is slightly smaller, which is handy for packing it up. I also appreciated more measurement lines inside the stove include ml marks and cup measurements. Cons: I did not notice any significant difference in boiling times between older and newer models. In about 25 degrees in the snow, filled with water to the fill line, the heat indicator turned orange in about 4 mins, 30 seconds, and came to a boil within just under 6 minutes. In a windless 65 degree environment, the stove boiled water in about 4 mins, 45 seconds. It seemed like the fuel knob didn't turn the flame up as high as previous models, thus lengthening the boiling time. Overall, this stove is definitely 10/10, just as all Jetboil products I've used. I am pleased with several improvements with this new model and glad Jetboil kept many classic features.
