Light but ear pads totally delaminated
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- L/XL
- Height:
- 6' 1"
- Weight:
- 155
I bought this helmet primarily because it was light weight and large enough to fit my pumpkin-sized head. It fits well but during the second season of its use the ear pads started delaminating badly and then totally failed and fell off. Seems the glue holding the two halves of the pads together as well as to the mounting bracket dried out and totally failed (see pics below). I contacted warranty@backcountry.com but they said the K2 warranty on helmets is only for one year so I’m out of luck. Buyers beware!
