Revel IV Mid Polar Boot
For lovers of the deep frost of winter, the Keen Revel IV Mid Polar boot acts like a mobile armored cocoon with a built-in fireplace. Stepping into the tall-standing lace-up, you’ll be comforted by the KEEN.WARM insulation, which braces against negative 25-degree F conditions, for extreme travels to glistening landscapes. A thermal shield insole bounces back heat to your toes as the temps continue to cool. In mixed weather conditions or days when you are in and out of the house, the waterproof upper and sole keep out rain and snowmelt to maintain a cozy, dry interior compartment. And the outsole with KEEN.Polar Traction grips on snow and ice for added peace of mind as you explore your wintery views.

Not comfortable
I had the Revel III Polar for years and loved them. These are not the same. The upper portion of the boot are super rigid and has no bend. They rub and by the end of the day your calfs are raw.

wrong size, so had to return
Boots look great and probably would have worked if the size was correct. I ordered a 7. 5 as that is what I wear in other boots, but these had too much room in the front of the toe. Width was correct in the toe box.

Finally warm, protected, & truly insulated boots
Bought these after trudging through a teary-eyed winter hike in supposedly “waterproof” non-keen hiking boots, and I could not be happier with the difference!

Wanted to love this boot.
Wanted to love this boot. Normally wear a size 8 but this was way too big. The height of the ankle was just high enough to dig into my ankle. Saw older models in stores but not on line that had slightly lower ankle height. Had bought them during Black Friday so was exited by the deal but now will need to pay full price if I try the 7. 5. Wish there were more options for Polar Keene boots.

More comfortable than my bedroom slippers!
Best boots I have ever bought. And I have been doing that for over 50 years. Very comfortable wearing thick hiking socks over my compression socks. Exactly what I was hoping for. Kudos to Keen for a great product!

Size too big
I have been buying Keens and they are usually one size smaller, and I have to order a larger size. I ordered the bigger size for these boots and they came too big. Had to send them back.

So far so good!
I bought these back in March 2024 at the end of last winter season so I didn't get to use them until this weekend hiking in the Whites Mountains of NH. These shoes kept my feet very temperature regulated, warm while not making my feet sweat. Wide toe box which is ideal, the traction I had with them was awesome, and they seem like they will hold up to the rough terrains I frequently hike. They do go up higher on your calf than my regular Merrells I hike in the summer with, however it wasn't a problem for me/I had no pain hiking. Excited to take these out more this season!

No breaking in
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots (Revel IV) have kept my feet warm and offer sturdy support, good sized toe box, deep treads and I wear them year round. My feet do not get hot in the summer. Most of the trails are very rocky and have tree roots, tree debris on them so they get a work out. I have hiked through small amounts of water and my feet stay dry. This is my 2nd pair and now I wish I ordered a different color but other than that. . . they get mediocre to poor reviews by hiking boot critics but I disagree. They seem sturdier than the Targhee model.

Tight Toe
Too tight in the toe box. Could be due to the insulation. Not sure If I'm going to keep them. I'll try will thinner socks.
